Lol...yes! My hubby to be's loner friend from high school read about it in the paper, and showed up without invite! Although it was kind of rude, it didn't bother me at all during the reception because I didn't know, it ticked me off when my husband told me.
The guy just complained about his life and how hot it was. (It was an outside wedding!)

No & I'm not married yet. I've been at a few weddings where unwanted guests arrive trying to ruin the bride & groom's day. One guest got past security by posing as one & started yelling at the groom at the top of his lungs. He was forcibly taken out of the church by 4 big men, each about 6ft tall or taller. 2 grabbed arms, 2 grabbed legs & made him into a human stretcher. To silence him, someone stuffed a hankerchief into his mouth on the way out. At another wedding reception, the ex-wife knew the caterer & had all the food delivered to a different location. After 3 frantic hours of calling around to find out what'd happened, the food arrived. Luckily, none of it was spoiled as it had went to another hotel & they'd put the refridgerated items away immediately.

Oh sure we use to do it all the time, when I was a young man we did it a bunch and we were the life of the party and no one ever ask you who you are, just join in to the party, it was a blast. I saw that movie too and have thought about doing the funerals, I think it would be ok you know everybody needs a friend during grief.
