Yes, but it's also bad to wash and blowdry every day too, but I'm not going to stop doing that! I don't know your brand, but I have been told that you should only ever use a ceramic flat iron. They're more expensive, but they do a lot less damage to your hair than the other ones that are like fryers.

yes but if youre not gonna stop ironing it do a once a week treatment for dry/damaged hair ( VO5) and try to use heat activated shampoos n conditioners, and there are products you can put on your hair to protect it from the daily use of flat irons they sell it at walmart but youll have to browse the isles for it -
and if your hair is naturually curly you can always apply a hair grease to your hair ( im thinking your white ) avoid the roots and use no more than a dime to quarter size amount do this when your hair is dripping wet then towel scrunch the less you play with wet hair the less it will frizz later and then when hair is dry iron your hair- you will prevent it from drying out and you may not need to wash it daily, hate to sound nasty to some people but i skip shampoo n cond. for two or three days when i straighten mah hair that way i dont have to re iron and stress my hair out as much - dont forget to trim ya ends every 6 weeks

I don't think so, if you use a ceramic flat iron and make sure your hair is well moisturized and well protected. The only way that would be damaging is if your hair is dry, like trying to fry chicken w/no grease, Get it??
But hey, I'm no cosmetologist. So, I dont know. But I do it and I have a head full of beautiful hair...

Yes.
Even if you have really thick hair, heat weakens hair, and constant flat ironing can make hair brittle, and ends split.
Not to mention, you hair gets build up, dirt and such on hair, in between watching, that flat ironing is not as affective as when you first wash your hair....
Pin up hair, in between flat ironing, coming close to time to wash, if you can't maintain the same desired smoothness.
There are great hair ornaments and clips, to put hair back in pony tail, or in a cute bun.

Well,it's not great for your hair, if that is what you mean. If you have to flat iron every day, make sure you are using good products to protect your hair from thermal damage, and trimming your ends, to keep split ends from traveling up the shaft of your hair.

In a word, yes. I flat ironed my curly hair daily for a few years, and it is now eternally dry (even though I use nice conditioners) and will not go curly without a lot of work. Give your hair a nice, long break.

Definitely!
But if you really have to iron your hair everyday, it's best to go for a Japanese rebonding treatment, where it will leave your hair sleek, straight and soft, unlike the normal ones which will stiffen your cuticles.
if not, always apply a protective hair cream before flat ironing your hair.

i do it everyday and ya sumtimes i feel guilty about it cuz if i overdo it, sometimes my hair smells burnt but my hair is naturally really healthy and thick. its even not healthy for my hair prolly especially in the long run but never get it permanently straightened cuz that hella damages it!! just start playing with your hair and try and get a style that you can use every once in awhile so you dont have to flat iron every single day. and my cuzin is in cosmetology so she tells me this and if it gives you split ends then make sure to cut those off cuz it just kills your hair and it looks ugly.

If you don't deep condition and keep your hair trimmed flat ironing is very bad for your hair if you do it everyday so make sure you are taking care of your locks to keep them looking hot
