You should separate them first. Maybe because they are territorialor for a mate or they don't like each other. Have you neutered them? If you did, than you won't have these problems. You need to dicipline them when they fight. But be careful... fighting males will attack their owner. You should sprinkle water. It will iritate them but not hurt them. It might be too late to bond them together because... they are male cats and it will be difficult. If they were kittens, it won't be as tough. Well, the best thing you can do is to seperate them.

Are both the male cats yours? If one is a neighbourhood cat then the only thing you can do is get him desexed. He will end up getting very hurt otherwise. If you own both are they kittens or full grown cats? It kittens then your in luck when they go to fight spray them with water and firmly say no. I know this may sound wrong but lock the cats in the same room, yes they will fight but by the end of the day they will get tired and realise that they both live at the same address and they will have to get along. Cats arent silly they will learn quickly. If they are adult cats then it may be too late, but still attempt the above suggestion. Male animals whether dog or cats always settle down and are less aggressive after being desexed. Goodluck and all the best for you and your cats.

I am trying to introduce my cat to 2 new cats she is going to be living with. She is NOT taking it well and is growling, hissing, etc.

I looked on the website for the humane society and they have a lot of good information under there on aggression or education.

When I spoke to the lady from there she told me to get this spray called Feliway (at your vet) and it seems to be working. It is supposed to help destress the cat. It is really expensive though, but I did see some at the pet store that contained Feliway & was a lot cheaper.

Not sure if it will help... good luck.

Keep them away from each other. Young male cats will often run away because they frequently get injured by the neighborhood male cat who wants all the female cats to himself. If you keep a male cat indoors at night while he's young, this might help protect him.

Moniter them. Before cats fight, they usually hiss or behave a little off. Should their hostility escalate, put them in seperate rooms and reprimand them by saying "No!" Cats eventually learn short phrases and the meanings behind them (good or bad) and will pick up on the fact that they will be reprimanded. Don't force them to be "buddies", but allow them to get to know one another on their own terms.

Good luck!

Keep your cat in the house so that he won't be wandering outside... This can help it from getting into a fight with other cats...
