There are so many religions because there aren't really any gods. If there was, it would be able to set us straight on what it really is.

Man searches for three basic things: truth, life, and love. We will find that these things are fractions from a whole. Without the whole, we will find that man will never have joy and peace.

Truth is essential to all human beings. Some argue that there is no such thing as truth. They will say that it is a made up word. Then again, we see C.S. Lewis refute this claim in "Mere Christianity" and "The Abolition of Man". We know for example, that human beings are sacred. We know murder is wrong because by human reason, we know what God has instructed in our hearts. Some will say that man invented it, but who would argue from that point of view? To say man invented it is to say we really don't know why killing is wrong, and so, we see many will deny truth and conclude that it is an invention. A smart man would instead search for truth. Man is destined to discover truth. One would not forget a broken glass in his kitchen, but will find out who or what made this happen.

many religions were created by man. You don't need to turn to religion, you need to turn to Jesus. Religion keeps people bound and in bondage. A walk with Jesus is far from that. You can be free and still think for yourself and Jesus will be there to help you along the way.

The reason is that people are scared of death. No one truly knows what comes in the after life so, just like people throughout history, we make up comforting stories to make the transition less scary. Unfortunately, religion has also been used throughout history as a means to gain power - and that is where religions become evil and murderous.

There are so many religions because people create religions. Why are there so many governments? Because people create governments.

There is a religion that is true, however--and therefore distinguished from the rest in that this one is created by God. This would be God's offer of salvation through his Son.

Religion isn't killing us anymore than government is. Abstract principles don't kill anybody. People kill each other--sometimes in the name of abstract principles, sometimes because they have no abstract principles and just think it's a good idea to kill people.

You believe that you are free without salvation. What you are is a captive of God's enemy.

And you may like to think you're thinking for yourself...but you're thinking the thoughts of many who feel themselves to be too good for God. You are not alone, in other words.

Religion is one of the evils of human existance, like disease. We have to struggle against it constantly before the whole world ends up in chaos like the Middle East

religion is about relationships, people having a common god....without religion we would make our own morals and they would change and fluctuate and be based on popularity... so in the future without god expect athiests to worship themselves, people selfish, not givinf respect to even their parents, put themselves first, and morality to decline, you wont see it though because you will think it is normal.... so gay sex is common, beastiality will be common, child porn will be common, stealing is fine as long as you dont get caught, rape will be normal and everything that we thought was disgusting 75 yrs ago will be moral and acceptable without god.

I think by believing in God or any superior being, you subject your life to someone else. For me, there is no such thing as fate or predestination. YOUR DESTINY IS DETERMINED BY YOU.
