As theists, we already have faith in the One True God, why don't we seek to know clearly His Teachings and put them into practice for the benefit of all the human race? I think if we throw behinh all trivial differences, and firmly advance with divine knowledge, selfless love, sacrificial actions, the world would assuredly become the Heaven on earth.

I am a member of the Hare Krishna movement, if you have heard about it. The serious devotees of the Hare Krishna movement are thouroughly studying the Vedic scriptures, as presented by our founder-Acarya, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. They are strictly following our 4 regulative principles: no illicit sex, no meat eating, no intoxication and no gambling. They are living simple life, chanting the holy names of the Lord and endeavoring to spread Krishna consciousness all over the world, because it will really bring peace and prosperity and make this world like Heaven.
What do you belong to? Would you like to join us in our work? We very much need sincere souls who want to purify their own hearts and serve all humanity by spreading the knowledge about devotional service to the Lord to every man, woman and child on this planet.

God said it was okay to own slaves: Leviticus 25:44-46
God said it's okay to kill people: Leviticus 20:10
I could go on with more examples but you get the idea. Do you really believe that you should put forth the commands of God after reading these passages?

Because there are no god commands. Various religions claim different commands by their gods. Even within a single religion, many of the commands are contradictory and vague. Yet with all of them, those claims of god commands were written by people, not gods.

There are no gods.

This is assuming that all religions believe in the same God, and I think the reason this can't happen is because that's not true.

Instead of saying "theists" you need to say "Christians". You're clearly talking about the Christian God, and there are many theists who are not Christian.

This world cannot be heaven. Because it isn't.
