when all people who call themselves christians will "disappear" and all left (good and bad) will go through hell and back dealing with all of that revalations ****. and am i the only one, or do some people think its a little crazy that eve once talked to a snake... they teach in churches this really happened, this is symbolism! it did not happen, its meant to excersize a point.. why would a god, who cares and loves endlessly, judge by your beliefs, and not your actions. do you think you have to be christian to be a good person? if a man spent his whole life donating money to the poor, and died, would he go to hell because he didnt proclaim jesus as his savior?? its so absurd!! god even admits in the bible he is a jealous god.. shouldn't a god be above such things, if he existed.. would he kill everyone on earth with a flood because he was angry? and then set a date to which all people not of him will perish...

you don't have to research something that has no proof to research.. ill be happy when i die and see that christians and liars and me go to the same place..

christians make me laugh. i stopped believing in fairy tales a loooooooong time ago. the only reason christians even believe is because they need something to be there after they die... they need to know they'll see their loved ones again.. or they can't go on

Yep... you're danged right... it is absurd.

Faith (wishful, magical thinking) is a substitute for evidence... and serves as the basis for 'belief'.

'Belief' is a substitute for knowledge.

faith + belief = willful ignorance and self-delusion

"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion." ~ Robert M. Pirsig

I'm sorry to hear you think this is all absurd. I think you have been misinformed. Have you ever studied the bible? How about Hebrew writings and authors? How about the languages Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic? Can you really call yourself and authority on a matter that you clearly have not researched?

The reason a God who loves endlessly judges our beliefs and not our actions is because nothing you could ever or will ever do will ever be good enough to get you into heaven. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. We are all sinners and we all live in a fallen world. Count up all the bad, selfish, evil things you do and weigh them with the few good and selfless things you do...do you really think these few things make you worthy to go to heaven?

You don't have to be a christian to be a good person, but you do have to be a christian to get into heaven. You just can't be good enough, but with Jesus, you don't have to be. Jesus died so we didn't have to be perfect, we could never make it to heaven on our own.

If a man donated all his money but didn't profess Jesus as his savior....yes, he would go to hell. God is a jealous God, but he doesn't feel the kind of human emotions we do. His are more deep and pure. He is perfect by nature, thus he cannot lie or go back on promises....he loves so deeply that he doesn't want us to spend our lives trying to be rich...he wants us to spend our lives enjoying him and the great things he has planned for us, having a relationship with him. God's jealousy is nothing like ours. You should check out Grudem's "Systematic Theology" it would have some helpful answers to your questions i think.

God flooded the world because not many people knew him, most had become pagans and idoloters and Noah's family were the few people (probalby the only people) left who lived by God's word. God is just and merciful, it is his nature. He can't be unjust unmerciful because he is all good. punishing sinners and all things that aren't righteous and all pure and good is a GOOD thing. God is a good, merciful, all loving God.

Hope that helps.

Funny the answers I see here. The question was phrased for the doom sayers.

1. Combined, there are almost 1/2 the people on planet Earth right now that believe in an Abrahamic religion (1 out of 3 are Christian). Add Hindu (which is more bazaar than Christianity/Judaism) and the other "religions" and you have a vast majority of people who believe in some ridiculous stuff.

What is harder to believe is the minority religion of nothingness. In fact, that is the most insulting to God. That all of this (our world) is the result of a cosmic accident. That our Gods are random chance and our fathers are monkeys. The belief that lots of time can create, and the most tragic of it all... There is no purpose for our lives.

You are a very misguided person, you are looking for loopholes so that you can live as you please. Well you have free will to live any way you choose, but to get an eternal life you have to have faith and believe otherwise you will not be saved. you can choose which is more important to you the limited time here doing as you please or eternity doing so much better. I will pray for you
