Actually it is called kneading... She does that to you by sucking on your arm & clothes because she is seperated from her mother at a very young age... So she is assuming you as a Mama Cat... So there is nothing to worry about coz this is a normal cat behavior... FYI, my cat also does this... So it is kindda normal... ;-)
-Kneading-
Just like purring, kneading is a behavior that soothes and relaxes your cat. It is a way for them to relieve stress. It is also a way for your cat to leave his/her scent. Every cat's paws contain scent glands and when they need, these glands release a tiny amount of scent undetectable to humans, but very noticeable to other animals. This is the same reason that each individual cat needs their own scratching post. When scratching, cats will release this scent in turn tell all other cats to steer clear. Many also attribute this behavior to a mother child behavior. As kittens the mother’s mammary glands had to be stimulated by kneading before they would produce milk. It is argued that this behavior simply continues on through adulthood.

Ya I know the feeling my sisters new kitten used to do it a lot a couple of weeks ago. It means that the kitten was taken away from the mother to early and she sucks because well thats how she got her food from her mom. Don't worry she will soon get out of the habbit. Once she gets to know you it is just comforting to her right now. She will stop hon her own no worries!

I had a kitten who would suck on my earlobe (got her when she was about 6 weeks old). She grew out of it after a few months. More than likely, she's just doing it as a comfort to her b/c of losing her mother too early (even though its not so much a comfort to us). Give her time and and she should eventually quit.

Cats do that when they have been taken from their mother to soon. There is no need to be concerned. You can encourage her to stop, by making her stop each time, although it is very hard to stop it completely. I've seen grown cats do this and embed their claws at the same time, just as a kitten suckling it mother would do.Be patient, she is a baby.

she has been taking from her mom too soon it is a hard habit to break but you can when she does this tell her no and keep putting your hand in front of her face the more you allow her to do this she will continue and NEVER STOP. i was given a male cat 1 and a half yrs old with this problem and let me tell you its gross the older they get the wetter things get and it is not just your clothes it will be your blankets pillows etc it took 6 months of no and hand action every night to cure this and now still once in a blue moon . but the people who gave him to me thought it was cute yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! being that she is so young it should not take as long .cats can be taught no, good ,bad and come just like a dog. loud firm voice with hand command does work stop this action before it is no longer cute and becomes really gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with some of the other answers that kittens do this and will grow out of it, but we have an older cat who has a fetish about used socks and will suck on them. Pretty funny!

The kitten was too young taken from the mother, they normally grow out of the habit.
