Since my last gf, my first love, I've had about 4 girls at different times come up to me and express an interest in me. And so each time, I have hit it off with all of them. We talk for hours and really have a good time. Then we go out on a few dates. Everything is going great. Then out of the blue, each comes up with the excuse that they aren't ready for a relationship, and I'm left wondering why. I treated them all great, and I didn't press for anything more. I was just following their lead; I can't stress that enough. I'm 18, so I'm wondering is this common in girls 16-18? I feel so down and depressed because I'm tired of being led on like this, only to have my heart broken. I know guys my age aren't supposed to be so emotional, but my self-esteem now is shot.
Just a reminder. These are all separate occasions over the past two months. I would never go with two at the same time. Thank you for any help! I need it.

If I could post what some of them have said, one would realize that they weren't just looking for friendship dating. Thx!

does all the girls tell you they're "not ready for a relationship" when they break up with you? if thats the case, maybe its moving too fast.
You know when you meet someone, and you go through the first phase of spending hours on the phone talking about everything, and you start spending all your time together, some people starts getting bored really quickly... or it feels too intense and they get a little freaked out.
also, how long has it been since your last gf? are you trying to find someone to just instant-replace the gf role?

Time for some honest self-evaluation here. You make it sound like you're playing it cool, following their lead, but then you say that it breaks your heart when they don't want to take it further. If you feel that strongly, I seriously doubt that you're hiding it from the girls as well as you think you are.
The main thing is to be honest with people about what you want. If you want to be in a serious relationship, say so. If you keep telling everybody that you're not, you're going to naturally end up with people who are looking for something more casual. Then, when you start sending off this vibe that you want something serious, you're going to scare them off.

Teenage girls are soooo fickle at that age. This is all just a game to them. You sound like a sweet guy and Im sure you will meet someone soon. I would look for girls your age though. Go for the girl you like. If it doesn't work out then move on. Don't waste you time on little girls who play games. Good Luck.

Dude, maybe you're getting too romantic and "clingy" too quick. Next time, take it easy. Talk about her interests and what she wants out of life. Do things that she likes to do; or doing something totally different. Don't go gaa-gaa and fall in love right away. You might be scaring them off and acting desperate. Just relax. Love will come in good time. Godloveya.

Try to develop a friendship first, I really think you should'nt ask hero ut so suddenly..asking someone out after a really long relationship might cause problems. Im no expert but, I say try to get to know her, make comments like "I need a prescirption" stop and stare "do I know you? you look farmiliar" and start off from there. You know, asking someone out right off the bat, might just make it look obvious that you are using them to try to get over your ex and fill a void or empty space you feel.

So you go out on a few dates? That doesn't make a realtionship. I would say you are making way too much out of simple friendship dating.

It's their loss. They were not the right ones for you, there's nothing wrong with you so don't worry.
