There is a series of veins and nerves which run down your leg and spread out over the top of your foot. You may be putting pressure on those veins and nerves, and this could be impeding your circulation which can lead to other more uncomfortable feelings. I have heard of people having a similar reaction and feeling uncomfortable or lightheaded. Are you apt to get anxiety attacks frequently, or is this the only time. You may want to discuss this with your doctor in case you have a pinched nerve or a damaged nerve and the crossing of your feet is just emphasising the problem. Good luck and have a good night!

This kind of stuff happens to alot of people, all that happened is you had an anxiety attack (probably for no reason) while you had your feet crossed and everytime you cross your feet now your mind associates it with that feeling of anxiety.
Same principals as agoraphobia. As in anxiety disorder its not really a "disorder" as some might difine disorder... you can get over it yourself, just have fun doing something you like cross your feet and stop giving a $**T.

You should probably ask yourself "what is it about me and crossing my feet?" Did something happen about crossing your feet when you were younger? Crossing in general? Was it a soothing behavior you were scolded for in the past? Have a thing for feet?
You and a {good} therapist are your best bet. However, it'd be up to you to decide if this (and other) event(s) in your life affect your functioning. It sounds a bit compulsive to me.

A sex therapist would advise that you need to get use to crossing your legs and feet and not opening them instead.
Just think of happy moments , then you won't feel so anxious.
I think a hypnotherapist could really help your brain waves and release the anxiety you feel inside.
Or in short, a cold shower will do ...........
=) happy therapy

Maybe you think that crossing your legs is a feminine gesture.. or it might seem "gay" maybe subconsciously your a homophobe. Or maybe you have issues with someone who crossed their legs when you where younger? Could be any number of reasons.
