he says he loves me and that those words don't come easy to him. I want him to say it more....I say it all the time, because if I feel that way about someone, I want them to know always.

Maybe he feels that you're being "needy" by wanting to hear it all the time. I'm usually the one to say "I love you" after my boyfriend does and it's not because I don't love him, it's because I'm horrible at opening up and initiating any type of talk that's "sentimental" (I think I was supposed to be born a guy. lol).

When I dated guys in the past, a few ex-bf's said they loved me and I would just say it right after they did because I knew that's what they wanted to hear and I was afraid of hurting their feelings, although I didn't really love them.
The only way for you to really know is to just ask him or test him. Don't tell him those three words again, even if you have to bite your tongue. If he REALLY loves you, he'll notice and say it himself.

If he's not the type to say it, that doesn't mean he doesn't love you. If he shows you his love in some other way (like being affectionate or wanting to spend more time with you), then you know he loves you even without words. But if you can't feel any of his love through actions, then maybe you should worry.

Yeah that's a guy thing, get used to it. They want to say it all the time before they mean it, but when they realize it's for real, they remember they're men. Don't take it too seriously, just know that loves you!

He doesn't love you but he doesn't want you to break up with him so he avoids an uncomfortable confrontation by saying " i love you too dear"

just ask him..say i love you do you love me? and if he says yea why? just say well you dont say it very much.you dont want him to say it if he doesnt meen it.cuz you will get hurt in the long run.
