For me it goes very far. Respect is earned and being nice is a great start. But you really have to do more than that to proceed and keep the relationship up and going. But some guys think these are the only 2 things you need. And that is totally untrue. Because you need courtesy, honesty, loyalty at times. And be trully committed. Not just run when you see another woman come along.

Nice and respect go a long way. The problem is that we often confuse nice and respect with letting others walk over us. You can politely stand up for yourself or just plain say no. The key is to remain ladylike at all times. That way you have made your point, but you still have maintained your poise and dignity...Never let them see you sweat!

it means a lot to me because I had encounter a lot of men who had a lot of evil and selfish intentions. And I never went out with them because I know that they want to do something evil.I think If you meet a lot of evil and selfish people,you will appreciate kindness even more.If you are nice to a women who has been hurt or mistreated a lot in the past,she might appreciate you more

depends on the girl. for me, if i don't get respect, i go right out the door. and being nice to someone should be a given. its just good manners.
