Only about nine percent of Americans are atheist. They're not hated, their ideas are; and personally, they just don't feel loved.

I disagree, Christians are the most hated, at least in Hollywood. The last safe group to bash at will in movies and on tv. I dont' see anyone really bashing atheists. I guess people don' t really consider you a threat or freaks or anything so they don't bother. I know most people don't really believe in true atheism. Its something that can't be proven. So agnostic is the way to go. You just dont "believe" there is God, but you dont know. I happen to know that there is a God. And you know the old saying, "there are no atheists in foxholes".

Christianity is a theistic religion - one that believes in a god. Christianity is also a proselytizing religion - one that seeks converts. Because it's religious ideas are directly challenged by atheists and because it sees conversion as a divine mission, atheists are a particular target for the Christian majority. The source for this hatred lies solely with the church itself, regardless of the empty words from their followers.

Athiests are hardly a minority, same with illegal immigrants. There are millions upon millions of them in this country, after all.
In a matter of 10 years, whites will be the minority.

Um...no. I think Mexicans are in the lead, ot tied with Muslims. Then Blacks. Then other Hispanics. Then women. Athiests are at best 6th in line.

Atheists are the ultimate boogeymen because they might actually get the common folk to think and demand instead of obey and accept. thus they are the enemy of social control of the working clas by the elites and their lackeys who pose as religious leaders.
