i believe that when you are in a relationship your partner IS your best friend and so the fact that she values the word of her friend over you, you obviously don't mean that much to her at all. If i were you, i know it is hard but just let her go. Don't be friends but just tell her that its too hard to be friends because she is probably looking to still have you in her life meanwhile she can be with other people. So at least if you tell her its not going to happen she might wake up to herself!

Um OK that's a little childish. If she will break up with you because someone else said that you lied about something, then she obviously didn't want the relationship like she should've. Honey i think you can find someone better who will handle things like that, in a more mature way.

That is totally immature. her best friend obviously is just trying to find reasons for her to break up with you. If she just believes her best friend over you and doesn't even investigate or ask you....she doesn't trust you and you can find more of a woman than that any day. Go find the woman you deserve! Good Luck!! :)

Prove that you are not lying. Whta proof do you have? If you know you are then just move on and lie to someone else don't hurt her feelings anymore. and be thankful she is at least agreeing to be friends with you and didn't cut you off all the way..

Did you lie? Did you and your ex gf speak about it? I know 5 months seems like a long time, but I was married for seven years and am friends with my ex hubby, with my BF after him for almost three years and am friends with him now, and he cheated on me with three other girls and had one of them in OUR apartment.

if its true that you lied about something than you need to humble yourself and say that you messed up, and your sorry and you'll never mislead her again. if her best friend is lying and you never lied about something. than leave her because she is just making an excuse to get rid of you.
