Depends on what they are doing? Sometimes it is easier to change the oil in a car when you are on your back. Scrubbing the floor is easier on your knees and bending over makes lacing your shoes easier too.

I prefer to be on top. It is best to try other positions because there are a lot of options besides what you listed. Don't do the smae redundant thing all the time. Jazz it up. Explore new things.

You did leave out the position of the woman on top, it seems the other positions the guessing of what works is left to the guy and that might be a little hit-and-miss for the woman.
