Do something personal, something just for the two of you. Don't do it for the show. Do it because you love her.
It should be something personal, unique, and timeless. It has to be something that fits YOU two.
Here's our story:
History: Our first date ended with making brownies in our dorm kitchen.
Proposal:
Location: Kitchen, 9:30 PM, summer evening
Setting: Both of us were watching television. He all of a sudden decided that he wanted brownies. I looked at him in confusion but figured that he's a guy and must just be needing chocolate. I couldn't exactly fault the guy for liking chocolate! At first I suggest cookies, but no. He wanted brownies.
I looked at the recipe, and got everything ready. In a bowl I poured 1/4 cup oil and crack 2 eggs. By the time I opened the brownie box, I found a letter. It reads, "Since the first time we met, you have danced in my heart ever since."
I said a little "Awww" and then noticed that he's on one knee. He took my hand and asks me to pour out the brownie mix. At the bottom, in a clear, plastic bag is a size 6, 1/2 karat, white gold diamond engagement ring.
He wraped his arms around me, looking into my eyes as I bawled my brain out. "You know that I love you," he said. "But I want to love you forever. I want to start a family with you. I want to have a forever with you. Will you marry me?"
By the time I realized what he'd just done, I couldn't even speak. I could only nod my head and cry. And it's still 9:45 at night, in a tiny kitchen at my boyfriend's apartment, dressed in boxers and a wife beater, and he in his boxers. And life couldn't be more perfect.

Denending on where you live...Take a stroll on the beach or a pier,
confess your love and all, propose and then lead that special someone to a romantic, candle light dinner. Another idea would involve carving pumpkins, slip a ring in after you carve it, and prior to scooping out the insides. When it is found, ask for her/his hand in marriage.

What are you proposing? Let's assume it is a marriage proposal.
Take her (I assume it's a her) to a family type restaurant (Outback, TGI Friday's, Bennigan's, etc.). The kind of places that do birthday cakes and all the waiters/waitresses sing happy birthday.
Take her to one of these places and have them bring out a cake with the ring on top. Have them say, "Will you marry him?" and point at you. To keep the ring clean, have them put it in a little bowl next to the candle.
Have one of the staff take pictures with a disposable camera.

I want a puppy so bad and my boyfriend knows this. The perfect thing would be for him to get me the puppy but have an engagement ring on the collar of the puppy when he gives the the puppy.

In Rocky mountains, pull out your guitar and sing the song you wrote to your girl that just happens your thoughts of living the rest of your lives together as husband and wife and don't forget to have the ring handy.
It worked for my Son in Law.

Have a place where no one is around....have it as her and yours specail spot. Have a picnic there waiting for her all of her favorite foods and desserts for sure. Tell her to put on this blind fold than take her to this place than when she sees the picnic sure she will love it, have the lunch than when it gets to the dessert have her to grab over for the strawberries and once she reaches out slightly grab her hand and go on your one knee than ask her the question..and make sure you say her full name..for example....
Kerry Rose your the love of my life would you marry me?
Girls love it when you say the whole name. Good luck and sure she will love anything you do for her!

Well first tell her you need her for a few.and sit her down alone with you tie a string to her ring finger near the tip and draw it back towards you, look at it all funny like so shes confused and turn your head to her gaze in her eyes and repeat the following! (her Name) you are like this peice of string.... strong, beautiful, simple.
even when my world was falling apart you were my friend and you told me the truth... my constant....my touchstone. then slide the ring down the string and say will you marry me!
Cheers!
