I suppose due to the way society has become and when you meet some one, you have an interest in , It has to come down to this,
The first date you have with someone ,
Must be about the following.
1. Exchanging Personal information
Social Security Number
Driver license or State ID Number
Finger Prints
2. Perform a Back ground check
Criminal back ground check
Driving record back ground check
Health Screening for diseases
Drug screening results
After all information is gather, the next date you have ,would be about talking about the information you both have collected about one another and then determine if the relationship should go to the next step

Also I do not think finances or money should have anything to do with true love , I am a poor man and alway will be poor even if I won millions of dollars I would be poor the next day, because thier are many suffering and hurting just for the basic to live.

Now, if that was true then how come so many bad things are still happening our there? Maybe it should be where dating is going, because it seems that neither women nor men are safe trying to date someone they've only just met.
(You forgot the one criteria most everyone wants to know -- the state of the other's finances, and whether this other person is going to try to scam them for every penny they can get.)

I uh kind of agree... Kind of... Personal info??
There is a limit
I don't care about Social (We aren't married)
I do care what kind of car he has or whether or not he drives..(Whether or not he'll be asking me to taxi him says alot)
Whether he lives near or far and who he lives with..
(Don't want him too close to stalk me, Don't like long distance relationships, Don't want someone committed, married or living at home at 30 & 40 with parents either)
Background check?
what do I want to know? If he works consistant (not in construction or the local corner) whether he's a pervert, been on America's Most Wanted, Cops, or Court TV, yeah, but, people lie and re-runs will play, that's why they have the internet....
If they have a disease....
Most people with STD's are not gonna tell you but, If I feel safe enough to trust them with my body then Guess what, they should feel secure enough to get tested...
If they get insulted, PEEL, I rather u be insult then I be Infected...
Drug Screening
You mean to tell me you can't tell if someone smokes, drinks or do drugs, Listen I'm no dummy, If your careless enough to endanger your body Trust me your careless enough to leave Signs....
You smell like smoke, or alcohol
You have tract marks or open sores
Your lips teeth or finger nails are discolored
Lesions or bruises Anywhere on the body
Cold sores anywhere near your mouth
You smell funny
Your eyes look glossy, sweaty face or palms
Anything that just seems out of the ordinary
Even if your nice and your looking to move to fast
One nite stands or anything to that effect
My eyebrows would definently raise and a red flag would go off..
After all the information is gathered you have a choice to decide whether he/she is your type or isn't.

because people are so screwed up nowadays. Nothing is about true love anymore, people only care about if a person is gonna help the relationship financially and then wait like 15 year before they get married and such, then everyone has an std because people just don't know how to be smart and protect themselfs its so screwed up now. people are shallow so they want to know if your genes will hurt your unborn childeren....
.... but humans made it this way...

Very good point. It is crazy to suddenly trust someone. You gotta take care of #1 and be safe. In my case, if the guy is not offended about what I discover about him, then I will continue to get to know him better.

Nice. I think I'm going to copy that information down. By the way, it has gotten to this.

Not terribly romantic but very prudent. No point in wasting time or risking any pesky std exposures.

uhhh... how romantic!
if you're that paranoid, why not use something like true.com where they pre-screen all the members... so you know whoever you happen to pick is "safe"
