Here's the short version. I had a friend. We hooked up twice or so. I thought it was for fun, nothing more. The one thing he was persistent in is asking me if I wanted to have sex with him. WTF. I always said no, this time, i told him the truth. We've only known each other for two months, we arent dating, and sex always changes everything. He twisted the way i said things to make it look like MY fault...

then he said he thought we were dating but "now, NO. IM sorry". then he acted like a jerk on the phone with his friends after this whole thing blew up. guys are ****** losers. they always try and find a way to justify their actions. my friends are proud of me for saying no..i would have been scarred and hurt if i went through with it.

he sucks. he isnt even human. ugh. so glad this sh*t is over with. anyone else can relate?

You did the right thing, so be happy and move on. We women spend WAY too much time ruminating over why men do the things they do instead of just getting on with our lives. There are great guys out there. Don't waste your time agonizing over why the jerks are jerks.

I know exactly what you mean. You go girl!
I met him through a personal ad,lives only about 5 mins from me.He was a really nice guy with a sense of humor at first. He came around and hung at my house for about 4 months. We only went out twice. When sex came up I said something like "20 dates" (from the "40yr old Virgin"...LOL) and at the rate we're going it'll be next year! He says "Why do you bother with me anyway?I have no money just alot of debt and huge mortgage and truck payment." I have no idea why he'd even say that! Needless to say he's been such a jerk I don't hear from him anymore. Oh and by the way ,quite immature for being 45 yrs old.

Oh please baby??!! Just a little lovin' - I know you'll like it. You're just leading me on aren't you? See how you are. Come on, just this once and if you don't like it I won't ask again. Sounds familiar, huh?

You are so right, some guys are such a**holes. The tense on your friendship - had, is very appropriate. He was not friend and had no respect for you if his goal was sex.

Please don't think that all guys are that way. There are a lot of guys out there that will appreciate you for your friendship only. Kick the jerks to the curb. Keep the guys who respect you as a person and a friend. Good Luck!

Oh yes, my dear I can totally relate. I was dating this guy for a month, he seemed great almost too perfect, calling me all the time, saying sweet things,we would hang out a lot. BUT in the end I saw his true character and trust me it wasn't pretty. We only kissed during our relationship and he knew i was saving sex for marriage. Given these in mind, our third week into the relationship he started saying things like how he wanted to marry me someday and then he even told me that he loved me!!!! and we barely knew each other!!!

It felt like he was trying every trick in the book to get me into bed!!! Well it never happened and I'm really proud that I said no and stood up to him!

I'm very glad and proud that you also said no to that jerk!!! Girl power all the way!! haha

I can not relate to you, because I'm a guy, but I can explain why we act like that, Angie is right 99% of us are like that, we just want to have sex, and that's what a "real" man function is. I was in Florida and I observe how the sharks mate, usually a bunch of 4 to 6 male sharks surround a female, they get very physical and usually the female gets rid of the first 2 then comes a more experienced and skillful shark that subdues the female and mate her, we will try to do the same, we are more sophisticated than that but the principle is the same, the one who is going to reproduce is the one with the Right moves and the right tactics.

Yes, most men are like that to one extent or another. But you know what...if their MOTHERS had taught them how to treat women from the very beginning, they would not have turned out like they are today.

I raised two girls. And I raised them not to take any bullsh:t from a man. To stand up for themselves and make their own decisions. I always taught them that they can choose to share their lives with a man, but not ever to give him control over it.

My two daughters have three sons (collectively). For various reasons, they are all living with me in my home. I am making SURE that those boys grow up to respect women. To know that no means no, and not "maybe after you convince me". To genuinely LIKE girls, and to enjoy the different perspective they have on life (and boys really do think differently than girls). My grandsons are 11, 10 and 7 right now. What I want for them is that 10 years from now, I could have each of their girlfriends come up to me and say "Thank you for raising such a nice man".

Don't play the game with him sweetheart. He's counting on you to THINK he was steady to you to make you feel bad and pressured to have sex. You made the right decision. I had a friend's with bennie's relationship, with my now, ex-boyfriend. I got pregnant while on birth control. He became abusive, controlling and eventually, went to jail for it. We started out as friends and had a sex-based relationship. I ended up investing my heart more and realized after a while that I was helping him pass time while he searched for someone else. I went through the whole deal with him telling his family and friends, and even some of mine, all sorts of nasty things about me.

unfortunantly i'm in a relationship with one of the most amazing guys i've ever known for 3yrs...so i cant say 'all men are *****' i can say all men are pervs cause thats a constant no matter what the situation you see its reallly hard for them to use the big brain instead of the little one at times but this is why you say 'no' and why you have to ride their asses until they can stop acting like children...the sad part though is that i think they actually will never stop completely acting like children they'll just act like children in front of their friends instead of you if you swap their noses hard enough with that newspaper ha ha

Yeah, I was in a friendship with this guy. At least that's all I thought it was. But then one night he asked me to with him and he went on and on into it. I obviously said no, and the next morning I called him on my way back to Virginia and told him I was never gonna talk to him agian. The other night we accidently came into contact and had a big fight. gosh. He is SUCH a b*stard. Now he's going to all my friends and saying he wants to get back together with me. IN HIS DREAMS!!!
