b/c by being an asshole when answering a question, they are putting someone down or making them feel stupid, making the asshole answerer feel supperior and smart. and for some reason, people have an excessive attitude on the internet. that is something i will never figure out. its probably someone who has no life so they put so much effort into taking that out on others

Because you can't reach through their computer monitors and punch their lights out when they're rude. If you met them in real life, chances are that they wouldn't dare mouth off to you for fear of that very thing happening.
Some people feel the need to act superior to others, and some are just natural born jackarses. The Internet allows them to show their rumps in comparative safety, that's all.

Because there are people like that in this world unfortunately. Some people are nice and some others aren't. The world is full of many different types of people. I learned this working as retail. I have seen nice and friendly to mean and selfish and downright nasty people.

It's called life... Can't weed them out because they seem to come from nowhere. It's like this... An asshole can be anyone, anytime... Depends on their mood. Some just want to know it all, some just enjoy pissing people off. The only defense I find that works with a jerk is to ignore their remarks, and show no signs of letting comments get to you... It pisses them off even worse. Reverse psychology, dear! It really works!

some people just like to show off and cause a stir. Some people are just genuinely a** holes in real life, you have to feel sorry for them, imagine being one and not even knowing it!!! Ignore them or if they are really bad then report them, that's what the report button is for.

Because they live that way at home and will die out of this world all alone too. They were never paid attention to growing up so this is the most attention they have ever gotten making them feel like someone knows they exist at all. I say good for them, it keeps them off the streets LOL! @_@

not to be so rude or whatsoever. because some questions are stupid and only can be answered with a stupid answer.
but on the contrary, there is no retorical questions so you're in your right to ask questions even if the questions are stupid.

sometime people ask really silly questions that could be found out by just doing some research on their own, or they ask a question that most people should know the answer too
