Ok, i've posted a question like this before, but its needed again. I live in a quit neighborhood, its been that way all my life. Now i have the drug dealing ***** living beside me. They stay up late, drink and smoke dope in there front yard and blast there rap music loud. Im so sick of them. Why hasnt the Police come, its like no one else on my street sees all the cars coming and going all day long and well into the night. What can i do? Whats the laws on these sort of things? There always ****** up over there, and i know that people do stupid things under the influence so its hard to confront them.

If you call they should come. One time I had to call, kids were setting off fireworks in the parking lot next to me. It was July 3 and I felt like a scrooge but they were making my dog neurotic. I just called my precinct told them I asked them to stop and they continued. It took about 20 min for a patrol car to come by, but they did.

From your narrative and description of the people next door, I will guess that they may be renters instead of home owners. Find out by going to you local tax assessor's office to look up the address and the property owner's name. In some progressive communities, it's on a computer terminal that you can sit down at and do yourself there. The data you look at will give the actual owner and their 'billing address'. That's where the owner lives, which is (we think) different from the house next door that they own and rented to some social turds. There may even be a listed phone number.

Contact the owner with your complaints and if you can elicit some backup from other neighbors, that may help to add weight.

Find a tactful way of introducing into the conversation the subject of asset seizure - something that some states have laws that cover when they have a drug infested nuisance property that the police have to deal with and finally make arrests and prosecution from. Maybe that will get the owners attention.

And don't hold back from more contact with the police. Some police communities these days are involved in what's called "community policing" where officers are urged to get more involved with and help solved neighborhood problems. Meet with a night time supervisor - more than one if necessary - to discuss the problem, and see if you might even get the police to call the home 'owner' too. An official contact may stir the owner some more. You're hoping that even if there's not an immediate remedy, that when the lease expires, it won't be renewed.

In fact take notice of any damage that might be going on to the property and report that too the owner too. If he had a financial interest/loss, that's a good thing for you.

I hope you don't find that the home is actually occupied by the owner. That will be proof that Hell is real, and we don't want that.

The video camera ideas are nice, but it relies on you being the only crusader in the neighborhood. You may catch someone in a misdeed, but that doesn't make them move. You'd be better off if they moved altogether - as far away as possible.

If the local police are not pursuing the matter then call the State Police in the state where you reside. A drug task force will secure enough evidence to end the problem.

Well the best advise i can tell you is a few things. Try to take pictures of the activity of the drug dealing . call your local precients number or sherrifs number an report an act of criminal behavior. If they come remain annoymous.

the laws. well there are a couple. Noise polution. only happens after ten at night.

criminal activity.

and loitering.

then they should come .tell them you heard that from a cop..
an also tell them its been an ongoing problem..

all you have to do is call the police, and report a loud disturbance, and they will go over there, and see what the problem is, just tell the police that you want to remain annonymous and ask if they wouldnt come to your house for any questioning that you can answer all questions over the phone, i mean if your house is behind theres then yea the police could come to your house, and they wouldnt know it was you but if you are fearful for your life then you better tell the police that hope this helps... the police arent goign to do anything if nothing is reported

Have you actually called the police? And I am not talking anonymously. Give them your name, address, and maybe allow them to set up surveillance from your home. What else can you tell them about your neighbors. Get some license plates, names, any info to help identify them. If the locals don't work, then call the sheriff's office.

If you have called your local police, then Im sure they are handling it. They cant just blow it off, if there are children in the house call DSS (Department of Social Services). That will get someone on them. If the local police dont come thru, call your State Police.

Call the police when they're at their worst and give the
location, and then let the police force handle it. If drug
dealing is going on, they'll be hauling them into the
hoosegal.

You said that the cops haven't come by, but you didn't say if you've called them.
If they are so obnoxious or if they keep you awake or if you see drug activity...call the police! Tell them what you see and what you have been seeing.
Ask to stay anonymous form those you're reporting if you don't want repurcussions.

Call the Cops, once a day, they will get sick of your complaints & do somehting about them. keep calling the cops, tell them they are dealing drugs, tell them they have a police scanner, tell them about the guns, "you thought "you saw. say the word AK47 to the police, and they will get real interested.
