(a serious question) because we all (at least some of us) believe in God..and God is good. But its rather difficult to accept that this God, this loving and just God would want there to be so many DIFFERENT kinds of religion. Why would He want one religion fighting against still another religion? Is it just the order of things, that man makes war against another in the name of religion?

In my opinion, I believe God despises religion. Religion is man made to keep organization in the masses but man abused it by trying to dictate and become like little gods and that's why we have so many religions.

i don't believe religion is a sin, but i do believe religion causes bondage to christians and that is why I hate religion. To many people out there today argue about what religion is right and which ones are wrong, christians just need to be worried about getting closer to Jesus and striving to be more like him. Religion is also full of tradition and I hate that also, How many christians do you know that go to a church and people don't lift there hands, that is bondage, if you want to lift your hands in surrenderence to God then why cant you, how many churchs will look down on you if all of a sudden you start jumping up and down going crazy because you know that Jesus made a way for us to go to heaven and not have to go to hell and you just want to scream and rejoice. This is just my thought on religion, I also think many churches need to get themselves a real praise and worship team. With drums and acoustic, electric guitars, bass, and start rockin out, I am not sayin to do this all the time, but in Psalms it says to play a LOUD noise . Worship is also needed, have a good worship song going on and get on your knees and just begin to thank God and tell him how much you love him. I am not saying that all chruches are wrong, it is just an opinion of mine, Man i got off of the question. sry,

Religion can be taken to the extreme and made sinful! We are human, sin is in our nature and the need to perfect everything, even God and religion.

the bible says Ishmael and his decendants would be against his brothers... so true. Worshipping a false god is a sin so if you have a religion you are following worshipping any other god but Yahweh, youre sinning.

I see where you're coming from. I agree. I personally think God interracts with us based on who we are - different from each other, etc. Why should God have to contact us all in the same manner?
