First of all, since when is Communion only a Catholic thing?

And second: CATHOLICS ARE CHRISTIAN!!!!!!!

Please explain this sudden cutting out of Catholics from the Christian community and tell me when non-Catholics stopped "doing this in rememberance of" Jesus. I'm pretty sure my non-Catholic parents had communion within the past month. What up?

Some Christians do not reagrd Catholics as Christian because Catholics believe in a two-fold source of revelation, scripture and tradition, while most Protestants hold to only one source of revelation, scripture.
Catholic eucharist is both a remembrance and a re-presentation of Jesus' sacrifice of himself. It is not a new sacrifie performed again, but the same, perpetual sacrifice Jesus initiated (because not everyone was alive when Jesus died). Most Protestants who have eucharist do not hold to this re-presentation; only the remembrance.

Catholics are Christians and Lutherans take communion as well. The main different between Catholics and other Christian religions is they don't believe they can pray directly to God and must pray thru Mary or Saints instead.

Yep... I believe once again, someone is a little mixed up. Can't imagine that happening here... (grin)... Catholics are definitely Christian, and I don't know a single sect of Christianity that doesn't "do communion", including non-denominational...

No no Catholics believe the communion differently to what protestant believe.

They believe that it is the actual blood of Jesus every mass that is sacrificed, but in reality it is meant to be done in remembrance of Him.

He was sacrificed once, not many times.

It just how they do there thing of belief, for example, most Christain religion doesnt believe the Virgin Mary, and was the mother of Jesus Christ.

if you just getting too confuse, talk to your Pastor, he have the answers.

I think you are right. I think other christian denominations do Communion but a lot of churchs don't do it anymore or only do it on special occasion God bless! Jesus is lord. YAY!

Pagans do "communion" too--it's called a bread and wine rite (or bread and beer, etc.).
