I read hypersexuality can be a symptom of being Bipolar. Anyone who is Bipolar think they are nymphos? And as honest as you can be, would any of you consider yourself to lie a lot? And during your depressed stage, how many people ignore or block people out? If so, does friends or family calling you regularly help you feel better?

I have a friend who is bipolar. No, she is not a nympho. She lies somewhat but tells all in her blog. Yes she will ignore me for periods of time and will shut people out from her life, unless it's her soft toy. I don't think the undying support from us ever made her better.

From my husband who is bipolar:

When he is in a manic phase - yes, he wants to have sex all the time, everywhere, with everyone.

He used to lie a lot..but apparently he got over that.

When he is depressed, yes he blocks everyone out. and NO, people calling does NOT help him (he usually doesn't answer the phone anyway)

Exercise helps keep him stable, and it's the only thing that can get him out of a funk.
