I want to know that too. Because honestly, I don't understand it--men are great people and if we women want them in our lives so badly why the HECK do we drive them away by continually telling them that they aren't good enough for us? Seriously, that is just stupid. I like men for who they are, flaws and all because LORD knows that I have my own flaws too.

Amen Brother.
Women learn the hard way, that "fixing" men is an exercise that will never "attain" their desired result, or pre-conceived notion.
That coupled with the fact that many of them cannot stand the thought of being over 25 and "alone" they set out on this mission to "fix" the first poor bastard who has the unfortunate experience of being her "boyfriend"
No wonder half of the marriages in the country end in divorce.
Harsh? Yes.
True? Yes.

Women like to fix men as you call it because we are caring. We try and please our men, so we come home with an outfit that we think they would look good in, or we make a nice dinner because we think he will like it, and so on and so on! So therefor as we do things and it becomes a habit, then his life starts to change to. Its no hobby, project, or experiment for us, its just called life changes.

Let's see:
We all have flaws ours aren't that noticeable to ourselves
Woman idolize what makes a man either "OK" "Good" & "Great"
When we meet them and want to date them they are either rated "ok" or "good" We think he's ok but, this can make him good, or better .. So we go for a change....
Some clothes, table manners, suggestions about habits, how he keeps house, likes and dislikes (whether or not they are changable)
When he's "good" we think that's ok, But, what can make him "Great!"
Then we may add some more suggestions, clothes, manners, how to be more romantic, sensitive, fun, exciting, neater, etc..(pick one)
Once we've made him "Great"
He's usually a keeper then
We usually want to marry him

Not ALL the ladies are like that honey. A real woman tends to complement her man NOT try to fix or alter him to something he is not. You obviously have not met someone like that. It is disheartening that one woman's mistake is blamed on the rest of us

Yes some women try and fix men but not all. some of us have learned to love people for who they are. If i fall for someone, why would i want to change them. That's is who I fell for not an image of what i want him to be. It goes both ways. He couldn't change me, I am who I am. Love me or leave me.

I dont cause i know better if you dont like them now your not going to like them in 5 years either i see no point in trying to change someone especially if they dont want to be changed! I find people i like now so when they dont change im cool with it cause i never had a problem with it in the first place!

Great question. Women just seem to never be satisfied with what they have, they always have to try to have a little bit more. It's almost like a challenge; "Is he really giving me EVERYTHING? Maybe I can squeeze out one or two more drops if I really try."
