Well like everybody has stated, nothing messy or green. You will be nervous enough. Something finger foods can be 'easy,' but probably the best advice I can give you is something modest. I mean if he is paying, make sure you find out what he is eating first and make sure your order is less money than he own. AND you probably won't get gas or anything like that until the end of your date, anyway. (takes awhile I think for it to go through your system!) I vote for fun food. Watch him and take his lead and do not try anything new. You don't want to leave your meal behind on your plate if you have never had something before.(Like sushi! Though I love it, plenty hate it!)

Most assuredly not a salad. Guys can't stand that. I usually go for something light, so if he lets me pick the place I settle for chinese food. Its light, no gas and its something I can eat pretty much all day without any gas or anything. Try finding something you like and going for it, that you know that won't give you any problems.

I never eat on the first date. We do something like putt-putt golf. This helps me understand if the guy is a pig who thinks of food 24/7 and if he can't go without food for 2 hours, we're not a match.

First eating date, I like to do playful stuff like "Fondue". It's kinds sensual to play with food. There's cheese fondue (cheese can plug you up, so no gas). You can have beef fondue. If you're daring to show your love for chocolate, then there's chocolate fondue.

I wouldn't care about the gas. I'd eat beans and taco's all night. If he didn't like the real me, then he isn't worth it. I'm certainly not going to starve myself. And FYI--if you are nervous you are going to swallow more than usual, therefore, fill your gut with air and you'll have gas anyway. So why not have it for a good reason?

Nothing green that can get stuck in your teeth, and nothing liquidy or saucy that you can spill on yourself! You don't want fish breath either so stick with something simple like grilled chicken. Good luck and have fun!

Just eat what you feel comfortable eating. It doesn't really matter what kind of food it is, as long as you like it. Oh yeah, stay away from beans. ;)

It's not on any restaurant menu, I'll say that much!
(And it's never given me gas either.)

Well, you wouldn't want to eat anything messy either, like spaghetti, or ribs.
