hi, so im not mormon, but i definitely have respect for the lds religion/culture since one of my best friends is lds. anyways, i have a question. so 1 night like back in april, my friend invited me to have dinner with some missionaries. i instantly bonded with 1 of the missionaries, his exact name i wont mention. i saw him again in june, and the last time i saw him was in july. then, i gave him my email address then. his email i didnt get, he had to go, so i told him then to email me. he told me then he was going to go home from his mission sept 13, which is last wed. he hasnt emailed me back yet. im so antsy and im worried he's forgotten about me =o( is there some way i can get in contact with him? like can i call the mtc? but wouldnt they not give his personal information out since some returned missionaries dont want their personal information given out? if this is so, can i ever get into contact with him somehow? is it even possible? or will i never get to talk to him again? =o(

The MTC will not give his personal information out. If you have his last name, and where is he from, you can try looking it up on the internet. The missonaries are very busy when they get back, with all their friends and families, so maybe he'll e-mail you soon. It's also possible that he has a girlfriend back home. A lot of them do, but aren't supposed to talk about it on their mission since they aren't supposed to be concentrating on that. Good luck.

You might contact the missionaries that are still there. They rotate out, so someone took his place. His old companion may still be there and he might be able to give you his e-mail, or he may have one of the missionary's business cards with his home address and phone number, etc. on it.
I've seen this happen before, a young woman here basically stalked a missionary after he got off his mission. She found out where he was and moved there, etc. It was pretty pitiful, and caused him a lot of unasked for problems. On the other hand, I know many missionaries that do make contact with someone they met while on their mission, and they were then free to pursue the relationship.
Whatever the case, I would recommend you take a deep breath and back off a little. If it is meant to be, he will e-mail you. If you don't hear anything in several weeks, you can try to contact him.
But don't push it.

Try Googling the name of his mission to see if there is an alumni list with his email address. Otherwise, contact the mission - possibly through the current missionaries - and ask them to pass along your email address to him again "in case he's lost it".

Missionaries are very busy when they get back, and it takes time for them to get used to "real life" again, so give him a little more time.
