I've been following your questions all day. If you sincerely asked Jesus to come into your life, direct your actions, forgive your sins, and save you from your sins, then He heard you! I understand your doubt though. Keep praying and get a New International Version Bible. It's the easiest to understand and I've found it to be very accurate according to the King James Version that most people use. It's even separated into sections with headings that let you know what that part's about. Scan through it and find a topic that interests you, and read it. After awhile, your doubt will be gone because you'll see the changes in yourself.
The only thing that worries me is that you keep saying that you got sick of bashing us and decided to become one of us.
But if you sincerely prayed for God to come into your life, then yes....he Did. You just may not really see much evidence yet.
Try writing a kind-of journal. Write down whatever you want. You don't have to do it all the time, just do it for a few days now. In 6 months or so, go back and read what you wrote. You'll see how much you've changed, and may even be shocked at the way you used to feel and act.

first you gotta be sincere about it. you probably won't feel anything at first, but it is a growing process, you need to read your Bible, pray, fellowship with other Christians(believers), and attend church.
When I first became a Christian I wanted to do things that a 30 year christian was doing. my mom told me its a growing process, you are a new creation, Do you give a baby a steak? No, because it cannot eat it or chew it. Just as a christian, i am still drinking milk and eventually in due time, i will be ready for that steak
satan will try to steal it away from you. Jesus is in your life now. The bible says that a portion of Jesus is in you! let him take over. Admit your a sinner, repent of those sins, believe God sent Jesus and that jesus is the son of God and he died for your sins, ask him to be Lord and Savior in your life, keep on praying and seek God.
I remember the next day after I got saved, there was a issue dealing with a friend of mine, and all of a sudden I heard, "what are you worrying about, I have it all under control." it was my voice, but not me talking. That was Jesus talking to me

Hello.
You don't have to worry about some sort of feeling or warmth that's supposed to tell you that it worked. All you need to know is that you prayed to Jesus, told him that you repent (say you're sorry) of your sins, and ask him to come into your life and heart so that your will and His will will always be the same. Don't be ashamed; the Bible encourages all sinners to come just as they are. That's it. When you tell that to God and you really mean it, you know it worked.
After that, you just need to begin following it up. Buy a Bible and read it regularly. Attend Bible studies. Start going to church and keeping the Sabbath. In short, change your life. Show that you are willing to completely live for Him who died for you. That's where studying the Bible comes in; the Bible is the book that tells you what is good and what is evil in the sight of the Lord. All the bad things that you used to do shouldn't be done anymore.
That's pretty much it.
God bless you.

Hi Step Up,
It's not something that "works" or "doesn't work"- there is no magic to it. The work that Jesus did on the cross was done for all mankind- He took the penalty for our sins- took our place that we may be made righteous in Him and be able to have fellowship with the Father. If you have made a sincere decision, believing in your heart that Jesus is your savior and He is the only way to the Father, and commit to follow Him, you are saved- it is all up to you- you either accept His gift or you don't. If you accept it, then it is the job of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction to your life, to sanctify you and set you apart for His purposes - all you have to do is say yes, because I believe , I will obey and serve.
Through studying His word, praying, allowing God to give you his wisdom and discernment- you will be able to work out your salvation, your faith will increase and you will become more assured of your salvation.
God Bless you in your search for truth and understanding

you have to have faith! (christianese for whistling in the dark and hoping for the best)
Seriously- find a church, join a bible study or something like that and hang out with other Christians. Replicate the actions of the "holier" ones and take the same actions and adopt the same attitudes they do. Act your way into divine thinking. It also helps to stick with what Jesus DID rather than getting caught up in what his followers SAID about him. Actions will change your life, semantics offer no lasting happiness. Help the poor, visit prisoners and offer your entire self to this new lord of yours.
Cheers!

Remember this, Jesus came to save us from sin, when sin starts rolling away from your life you will realise Jesus is working within your life.
Don't be alarmed if you mess up alot, it is a process. You can change your attitude overnight but your personality takes time to mould to that of Jesus.
Pray and read the Bible everyday, repent from your sins, and ask Jesus to help you to stop them. Remember the sins that God deems the worst are that of pride, selfishness, covetousness and backbiting (or murmuring and complaining).
God Bless you on your journey!!! Remember Jesus is love, you have made the choice of a lifetime in wanting to serve him. What he did on the cross wasn't just a game, he suffered real pain so that we may have a chance to be called the children of God.

Christians believed in God’s existence before their conversion. However, when they obeyed the Word of God, turned from their sins, and embraced Jesus Christ, they stopped merely believing. The moment they reached out and touched the heater bar of God’s mercy, they moved out of belief into the realm of experience. This experience is so radical, Jesus referred to it as being "born again." The Bible says that those who don’t know God are spiritually dead (Ephesians 2:1; 4:18). We are born with physical life, but not spiritual life. Picture unbelievers as corpses walking around who, by repenting and placing their faith in Christ, receive His very life. There is a radical difference between a corpse and a living, breathing human, just as there is when sinners pass from spiritual death to life. The apostle Paul said if you are "in Christ," you are a brand new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Those who now have God’s Spirit living in them will love what He loves and desire to do His will; they will have a hunger for His Word, a love for other believers, and a burden for the lost. The Holy Spirit also confirms in their spirit that they are now children of God (Romans 8:16). Those who believe on the name of the Son of God can know that they have eternal life (1 John 5:12,13).
It is healthy to examine yourself and see if you are in the faith. Once you have repented of all sin (see Psalm 51, 1John 1:9), don't doubt God's promises. Doubt produces fear. It is also a great insult to God--if I don't trust you, it means I think you are a liar.
Here's a recipe for success:
Read your Bible every day . . . without fail. Every day. Value the Word more important than your food (see Psalm One).
Obey what you read.
Develop a tender conscience.
Never doubt any of God's promises.
Obey the Great Commission by sharing your faith (see John 14:21).

Read Romans Chap.10V.10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
If you believe in your heart that Jesus is the son of the living God, and if you then confess to God that you need him to save your soul. Then it's a done deal. Read Luke chap.10-14 A publican and a pharisee went to the temple to pray. Never mind what the pharisee said. The publican humbled himself before the lord and said " God be merciful to me a sinner." Jesus said "I tell you, this man went down to his house justified." You wouldn't pray to a door nob to save your soul would you? of course not! The very fact that you bow your head and pray to God is proof of your faith. Stop doubting and rejoice! You are part of the family now just try your best and repent when you sin and read your bible and you'll be fine. May God bless you and guide you.

1st. It's a choice and change of heart.
2nd. It's a way of life. (That's the real challenge) Read the story about JOB!
There is one thing everybody oversees. Jesus only REQUESTED one command from us to him. 1Cor11:23-25. And timing is VERY important, on the day, Nissan 14, every year until his return

If you believe it..it is so... Why would you bash anything?.. the only true path to enlightenment is through the love and understanding of all things.. irregardless of religious convictions, until you can do this.. you are in the Gray area between good an evil... this is the land of the living dead (that's in the bible)
