Hye, i'm 25 and i'm still single (virgin).I never had any intimate relationships b4 as i believe that it shud only be done with someone I truly love and I havent' found such a person in my life yet.MY problem is that, every night, I can't sleep in a normal way, meaning, i can't just lie on the bed, close my eyes and just sleep or read a book and thn knock off.I have this problem wherby i hav to Masterbate every time b4 i go to sleep.Sumtimes i feel drained out of energy each night when I do this repeatedly but I can only sleep after I do this act.Once i tried to avoid M'bating but it only resulted in me not sleeping for 2 nights. Is there sumthing wrong with me?I did go thru major depression 1 year back and now i'm doing meditation and mind calming but the night sleep activity has stil not left me yet.I feel like I'm not capable of sleeping in a normal way. Please help me and i hope i did not ask sumthing tht's too "obscene".I m having this problem and i'd like a solution as i feel shy.

It sounds like masturbating has become something your body is used to doing and wants to do before it falls asleep. Sexual activity is pleasurable and releases stress, so it makes sense that it helps you fall asleep. The "problem" is that masturbating is really bothering you and you don't want to do it anymore. You can't stop because it's a habit now, and your body is counting on you to masturbate so you can sleep.

Since meditation and mind calming aren't working, you're going to have to find a way to fall asleep at night without your body expecting sexual activity first. Three suggestions: Sleeping pills, sleeping in a different location, such as on the couch, or creating a new bedtime habit. You could teach your body and mind to relax with something else you enjoy like tea or hot chocolate, calming music, or writing in a journal.

And one more thing, you are probably lonely. Try to talk to the people in your life who care about you, like your friends and your family. You don't have to tell them any of your problems, but sometimes just talking and laughing is very healing. Good luck, Alisha.

Yes, you have a problem. But don't we all! lol.
It's good that you admitted it , that's the first step to fixing it. I agree with the first person who posted. It's probably hormones . It's somewhat common for some people to masturbate but I have never heard of depending on it every night to get to sleep .
If I have to guess your doctor would give you something to balance out the hormones and maybe a sleep aid.
Try to get out there and meet some men , try participating in events in your community that go with your hobbies. For example; Art Classes , Dance classes at a community center or community college. I think the key to getting to know someone. Is find someone with at least one thing you have common with them. That really helps the chemistry in a relationship.
