It's up to you. Everyone is shallow to some degree and we can't help what we are attracted to. It comes from years of programming and it is virtually impossible to change that. If you really want him to love you fully, then you need to lose weight. If you are comfortable at your weight and have no health issues, then you may be happier in the long run if you find someone who is attracted to your figure.

Leave them, because if they truely loved you, the fact that your over weight wouldn't matter. Dump them and move on to someone that is going to love you for who you are and not for the size of your waist line. Once you find that right person, perhaps both of you can join a gym and support one another goals. It works out in the end.

I just wanted to add to this: I've read some of the other suggestions and I want to tell you, not to listen to them, with an exception of maybe 2 or 3 answers on here. The rest of them are trolls and unhappy.

I would say see ya! That is terrible telling someone your dating that your not attracted to them because of there weight. If they truly love you it wouldn't matter if you were fat or skinny. Love is in the eyes of the beholder. I wouldn't change for anyone unless it causes medical problems or just for my own sake no one elses!

Break up with him. Obviously attraction is only physical to them, and true love is much more than that.

What if your legs were to be cut off in a tragic accident? If he really loved you he would still be attracted to you.

I would try to lose weight if I were obese. If he's complaining that I'm not a size 1, I would kick him to the curb. It goes both ways though... he better have a great body if those are his expectations for me.

i wouldn't stay with him or her because beauty is on the inside and they are not worth the heartache that losing the weight for them would cause. if they don't love the person you are on the inside ,then they obviously are not happy with something about there own appearance

tell that person to talk a long walk on short cliff, go play in traffic. you are bettter then this person, you know how to love they don't know the meaning. love does not come in small packages. i am a large person, been made fun of, but my husband says that he married me this way and he is happy. more for him to love on.

lose weight. everyone seems to think that if he says u should lose weight then he doesn't love you. faulty logic. i still love my wife even though i find her less attractive than i used to b4 her behind started getting bigger. there is a difference between 'attraction' and feelings.

Do you weigh the same as when you met? If so, sounds like their using it as an excuse to dump you, if not, lose the weight.
