Your daughter probably ordered the magazines through a marketing company, so you will only have to contact one company, and not each individual magazine.

I have paid for magazine subscriptions through a marketing company with my debit card. The company name and their 800 number will (probably) appear on your statement. Telemarketing companies should always have their phone number appear on your statement charge. Call your bank ASAP and see if you were charged. If you were, then you should be able to get that phone number. Then call the marketing company and cancel. I have canceled many magazine subscriptions over the phone, and it has been VERY easy to get a full refund (usually it is an automated system, it takes about a minute).

If the company will not refund your money, then you will need to write a letter of dispute to your bank. You need to state which charges you did not make, how you tried to resolve it, and sign it. Regardless of your daughter's age, you did not agree to the payment, so your debit card cannot be used in this transaction.

If a telephone number does not appear on your statement, then write a letter of dispute stating that you do not know how to get a hold of this company to cancel the order.

If you have to dispute the charge, I would suggest you also cancel your debit card and get a new one with a new number. This ensures that the company will not charge the debit card again. Find the new debit card and your daughter will not be able to do this again.

You will probably get this entire situation resolved in one phone call.

Call the bank and explain that your daughter did this by phone. How old is she? Is she old enough to sound like an adult?

The bank should remove the charges and when the magazines start to arrive you can then contact them directly. As a matter of fact, if you have the names of the magazines she ordered, you can call them directly and cancel the orders. Tell them you have already contacted your bank and told them not to pay the bill. That should stop them.

First put your telephone number on the do not call list .
You can do it on-line .
Next , call the magazines ( call 1-800-555-1212 ) and tell them that you are on the" do not call " list and they are not allowed to call your home . Tell them they will need to cancel the magazines and credit your card , because your daughter is a minor .

You are in serious trouble. You may have to close the account. Debit cards use a system called "Drafting" which allows people to take money out of your account without any of the normal safeguards, or the federal laws protecting you. Call your bank and see if you can get them to help you.

If she is a minor she cannot enter into a contract unless it is for necessaries (shelter, food, etc) so the contract is void.

You can absolutely call your bank and have them investigate. This is what you would do with a credit card company.
You just have to somehow prove it was her that agreed to it, not you, which might be hard since she used your number. But call your bank & see what they say.

If your daughter is a minor, they shouldn't have sold her any thing, but I would go to your bank and put a block on this place from taking anything from your account. If your daughter isn't authorized on your account the bank should have not let them take this money, unless she lied about who she was and etc. The bank will block them from taking money out, but they will probably charge you a fee for doing this, It really isnt that much, verses every month this place takes money out if Im not mistaken, my bank charges 17.50 for this type of transaction but it is a one time fee taken from your account.

I suggest you contact your debit card where the funds will be removed and explain the situation. Then I suggest you handle your cards more carefully and not have them where anyone can access them. And last, ground that child until she understands what she's done is really wrong.
