I mean, who was managing the affairs of the universe and all that is in existence while He was busy talking and lecturing to mankind on this Earth?

Isn't God much greater, more superior, and above all that? Wouldn't He have chosen to send a human being, whose body apparatus is capable of living in Earth's environment (breathing, eating...etc), to communicate His message to similar beings?

Please don't tell me He sent His son...that just the same as saying he came down himself...sorry.

Several very good answers, thank you...but still, not really very convincing to me.

It neither benefits nor harms God whether we believe in Him or not, so why would care that much to the extent that he would focus so much of his energy to the affairs of human beings by locking (yes locking, limiting) Himself into a human body and spending a (almost full) human lifetime on this Earth?

Something is not right here...

how can Jesus become god? how many christian know their religion was baned in roman empire. when roman empire falling.. the emperor come out with a plan to unite the roman empire by using religion. so, he take Jesus teaching and mix up with their believe eg father of god Zeus, Venus, Jupiter all that into father of god, son of god and wife etc compatible with the believe of people of roman. why he did all this? he attention only to prevent the empire falling and to ensure his title (emperor of roman empire). so, Jesus teaching has been corrupted.. now i believe in one God. i sure this is the true religion (Islam).

"The One" (GOD), is managing the affairs of the universe. God is powerful enough to manage everything at the same time. God doesn't focus on a single thing or single being. Jesus said "God is within you", and this means that all humans' and "non-earthly beings" souls put together is the "ONE". This is too complicated to explain over the internet. It's good that you wonder and ask questions about God. Maybe you're one of the few people that are being "awaken". I don't believe the things that Christians say. They always try to scare you by saying you have to repent for your sins. If GOD is the creator of everything in the Universe, do they actually think that humans is even close to being able to upset God? God doesn't sit around and watch our every move to see if we will break his rules. He doesn't judge he doesn't have laws, humans do. GOD don't think like humans. He/IT is the ultimate power. We cannot understand everything while we're still trap in our phisical bodies.

Jesus said, "The Father is in Me and I am in the Father." Jesus and God are ONE. Which leads back to the Holy Trinity, God The Father, God the Son, and God The Holy Spirit. God The Father was taking care of the world when Jesus was on the Earth. Three separate, but make up ONE. A tree has fruit, leaves, and the tree itself. Each one is different and they have a different purpose but yet they make up the tree. God is the wood/branches, the holy spirit is the leaves, and the fruit is Jesus. Jesus is 100% GOD and 100% MAN. He went through all the same temptations we have on Earth, but since He is God, he knows how to defeat those tempations and sin

Do you mean who was on Jesus' staff? LOL

Questions about Jesus, or Questions designed to convert or recruit people to Jesus (or even away from Jesus for that matter)are simply a waste of time. Ditto for being "saved" or trying to clarify minute points of scripture when there are so many different interpretations and editions of text. People have already decided for the most part if they believe in the fiction written in the bible. People who feel God talks to them have psychological problems because hearing voices is a psychological illness. All the major world religions have issues like this.

This might be hard to understand but it's like a triangle one shape with three different sides. The trinity is three different forms of God but one God. So, while Jesus was here SAVING PEOPLE God was in heaven "managing" the universe. The third part of the trinity is the Holy Spirit, Who resides in those who are Redeemed by Christ's saving blood.

You've put God in a very small box even though you tried to imply that He was greater and more superior. Most people view God to be more timeless and a whole lot less bound by human standards. He exists in the past, present, and future simultaneously. He's not exactly bound by time and space.

The simple answer is that Jesus was a piece of god, as all his creations are. Everything stems from the source which is god, the undieing everlasting power above all powers. Some refer to this as 'the powers that be'. Anyway, Jesus was created by god and so the conception went on that it was his son. However, you cannot say it was his son scientificly. I more believe as I stated above that it was a piece of god brought onto this earth which is why Jesus's soul and power was so closely connected to god himself. But eh, what you believe is all based on your perception.

P.S. God doesn't walk on earth as a few religions say. Something about 'not interfering'.

You are right, of course, God IS much greater, and more superior, and "above all that"....and yet, He CHOSE to limit Himself to come to earth in a body of flesh, breathing, eating...and yes, etc, too...in order to bring His message to us in person. He experienced first hand what it is to be a human being, and what it is to endure temptation. He gave us the chance to know God by knowing Him. And yes, finally, He became flesh in order to sacrifice that flesh on the altar of our salvation. That, my friend, is love...the kind of love ONLY God knows.
He could do all that, AND manage the affairs of the universe, because, after all...He IS GOD!!

Jesus is part of God, as is the Holy spirit. In the beginning was the word (god) and the word was made flesh by the maifestation of Jesus. Upon Jesus' resurrection we were givin the Holy Ghost as the comforter Jesus said he would send. All part and parcel of same thing. Sort of like a Russian Katchina doll that nests inside each other to form one big doll.
