My daughters B-day is Aug. 25th. That means she is going to graduate when she is 17, when she is still living at home. When everyone else is driving, she has to wait. All that age stuff goes out the window when your older. No one counts that half mark, if anything, you'll look better at class reunions!

I am also born aug. 11 and have the same problem. as i sat there in my class, i said i was 17 and they thought i was 15!! :|
Blah, who cares what they think, just makes us look smarter ;)

My son just made the cut off line in Kindergarten. He was young, and he did really well. He's a cop now. My other son - that was not a good idea. Everyone is different.

maybe you really are young-looking. that's not a problem if your looks is not a reason for them to disrespect you. ormaybe you are acting really young. maybe you should set a clear boundary between teacher and students so that they'll treat you asa teacher despite your age. i have a teacher who looks younger than us but then she manages the class just right.good luck

well, look at it this way-you are basically almost a year ahead of the rest of them. you'll graduate and start making a salary a year younger too, so you've got a big head start and must be plenty smart....
