I'm a 16 yo guy and probably more mature than my years.... i'm not that bad looking... and I have yet to have a girl friend or even a kiss someone.... i tend to mask my feelings with girl by making jokes.... I'm not like others my age that just want to fool around... i want the be in a long term serious relationship but girls usually don't know this .... what's wrong with me and why can't I get a girlfriend!!! HELP!!!

Don't try so hard! Just date casually- there is plenty of time for you to find a relationship as you age.

Maybe girls think that you only want to be their friend because you mask your feelings with jokes. Either that or they might think that you won't be loyal to them because you seem so comfortable with so many people. Girls are insecure about themselves at your age too. No one wants to risk getting their heart broken. But, if you want to get to the fruit, you have to go out on a limb. Take a risk. If there is a particular girl you like, you've got to focus on giving your attention to her. Give her compliments, smile at her, make eye contact with her a lot, let her know what you like about her. Most girls love a guy with a good sense of humor, so that'll probably help too. Once a girl knows that you are interested in her that is. Good luck!

Some youngins just seem to get started late. All in good time young man! Sometimes you just don't realize your are kindof interested in girls, then one day you wake up and the hormones start working. Just be yourself, and all will fall into place in good time. You have your whole life ahead of you and most likely will have more girlfriends than you can shake a stick at. Dude, trust me on this one, you only want to be in a serious relationship because you haven't been in one yet. Date around, you are young, plus there aren't many people who get out of HS and go on to college and stay with the same person all the way through.

If you are always joking girls probably see you as kind of a goof ball. Not someone they think wants a serious relationship. I would try to seriously show a girl you like her, or that you can be serious about things.

you are 16! don't rush into a relationship. it's not worth it right now. use this time to have fun and get to know different girls. this is the age for fun. don't fuke it up by trying to be all serious when you don't even know anything about girls. i'm 22 and my bf is 24 ...believe me, he still has much to learn, too. relax, have fun!

sounds like you aren't being forward enough. if you mask your feelings by jokes, who would know you were interested? stop worrying about rejection (that is why you make jokes) and put yourself out there. you might get hurt but you might find your girl, too. oh, but don't get upset if a lot of girls don't believe you aren;t just trying to get in their pants, but they will have already been traumatized by your peers!
