Although I fully agree that men and women can maintain platonic friendships, I'm curious to know reactions of other "coupled" people. For example, would you feel comfortable if your significant other had late-night drinks with someone of the opposite sex?

NO!!! You guys can call it whatever you want but where I come from, we call that DATING!!! I'd put an end to this w/out hesitation!!!

No late night drinks but maybe a smoke outside of work then drive eachother home. I don't relly believe that people of the opposite sex need to be friends when you have a serious relationship.

ok.. well sweetie my boyfriend has "girl" friends out of work and it doesnt bother me b/c i know that he's mine.. but to get to the point. try and see if you can "tag" along.. and if theres no problem then its cool. but if not.. then thats something you should look into. good luck

I would feel very uncomfortable and would say as much. work relationship should stay at work. They have the whole day sot he evening is mine.

i had the same problem and she never invited me along. it turned out she WAS screwing him. i thought i trusted her.
