It's very sad, but there probably will not be true peace before Jesus' return. The peace humans know comes from without; the government sets laws in place which are to be obeyed by the people, or else they are punished. At the same time, the government is capable of protecting the people from outside threats, but is also limited in power themselves through checks and balances. Because of humans' voracious appetite for power, not even the government can be trusted. Peace today amounts to being able to fight off attackers and giving strong punishments to the citizens.
True peace only come from the bottom of each individual's heart. When each person in the world truly learns that evil desires are, no matter what, evil, and to love and care for each other, only then will the world be ruled in complete and perfect peace. Though it may seem to the contrary because of human nature, true peace in the world, if God or Jesus are not considered, can only come when all human beings learn what is truly right and what is truly wrong, and when they have a love for the good and an abhorrence for the evil.
But how to instill those values into all human beings? It's very sad, but one cannot do this for all humans. Humans are evil by nature. The only way, I think, would be to do whatever we can. We should raise our children with values that clearly define good and evil to the best extent, and we should teach them right and wrong. We should also spread these values to any members of the younger generation, the members of tomorrow, who will not only cherish the values but also spread them. Then, perhaps, much of the world, having accepted the values into their hearts and not only having them imposed upon them, will be at peace.

I'm not very impressed with humanity, sorry to say. Humans have been comfortable for over 100 years, and have not started any great steps of advancement. Humans fight over everything, even if there is enough to share equally.
I know I'm wrong - but humanity loves to kill and still enjoys following the roughest, toughest "manliest" , not the smartest person for pack leader. In the USA, women have only been voting, heard politically, since 1920! 86 years; and the treatment of minorities world wide - I can't think about - it's too horrible. I can't even think of the mistreatment of the worlds children - I get too depressed.
Sorry, but my vision of humanity - is that humanity is like a baby piloting an airplane trying to land on an aircraft carrier. My actions are to stay involved in my community as much as I can, and hope I am able to be a good example for my son to follow.
I would love to wake up one day and have learned humanity has reached a level of maturity and caring for each other that it should be at by now. It's my prayer before I sleep every night.

There isn't anyway the there will be a world like this for one reason. We all are selfish. From govenment roght down to each person. We are selfish, we want and we are not going to give up much for the other person. Thing thats mean to say? I grant that. But look at your drive in to work and watch what happen when someone cuts you off. Go to a fast food resturant and someone cuts in line in front of you. I could give many more examples but it comes right down to how selfish we are and guess what. It ain't getting any better.

When you add religion in to the mix and you set the world on fire.
Selfishness and my religion is better than yours, look out.

If people were faithful instead of religious, it might be a bigger step to what you are asking.

It sounds nice, but is a lot of New Age blather. Human beings will always argue or fight.

Form a committee sometime to prove the point. There will be say 8 members on the committee, and there will be 8 opinons on how to get things done. Then there will be the 3 that are particularly vocal and want to force their agenda down your throat.

Also what may be Shangra-la for you, might be total desolation for me. I envision of world of green and ocean, with dogs at my side. Well that can be holy hell for someone allergic to dogs or who doesn't like the smell of sea air.

Simple little things like that keep us from unity and the big issues, the truly important ones only move us farther apart.

I think Utopia will never exist on this physical level. Only
an endless series of catastrophes, that thin out humanity, allowing for times of peace and cooperation. Along with times
where humanity grows and oversteps ITs bounds on each other,
creating hatred and war.
The place of eternal peace and rest lies above many levels
of reality we must overcome. Even the Christian Bible says,
"We are changed into the same image, from glory to glory."

What this world needs is a little less talk and little more action, but as long as the world's religions spend more of their energies fighting over who's righteous and who's not, there isn't much hope for change. They have all got their priorities wrong, completely wrong. Gay marriage, abortion, stem cell research, prayer in schools, public displays of the ten commandments are of no importance whatsoever until we learn what Jesus taught about caring for the oppressed, the poor and starving, the sick and hurting. Christianity has got its priorities totally bass-ackwards and so does Islam in its own perverted ways.

If everybody followed their religion as it is supposed to be, took stewardship over the earth, instead of dominion, acted the way they would want others to act toward them, the world would be a much better place.

And the only way to achieve that is to educate the entire world. And its very hard to educate people if they are starving or homeless or drug addicted. Any ideas for how to take care of those needs first?

one million. we are incapable of team spirit and peace, although we do have prosperity. perhaps no longer the variety of prosperity you meant, although. as long as there are human beings interior the worldwide who want to help in user-friendly terms themselves, there is not any longer team spirit and peace. 2. a lot of human beings evaluate faith and believing in a god to be "backwardness". the fact that which you're unwilling to settle for others' ideals with the aid of calling your god the "one actual god", is reason adequate why your question won't artwork. perhaps you dont see it that way, yet for a faith to denouce all others, and say that that's way is the only way, is the two backward and unpeaceful. so once you're saying we could desire to constantly attempt lots greater to realize worldwide team spirit, peace, and prosperity, an incredible type of human beings ask your self whether you want anybody to do it how christianity needs it achieved. if thats the case, then i dont think of worldwide team spirit and peace will ever be attained.

All this love and unity resulted in too many people on Earth. For a better world, we must get rid of 90% of the population. First kill off the excess and then we can love.

Only when we learn to accept the differences of others and respect opinions that are not our own will we achieve love, unity and peace. There is so much hatred and violence in this world, that I fear it will not be soon.
