Well I know a guy who was very sheltered from everything. He's in his 40s, still lives at home, holds 7 university degrees but delivers uniforms from the cleaners to various businesses on the graveyard shift. Has no social life, spends an average of 18 hours a day playing role-playing games online, and talks about raping women and how that's okay because women are all psychological manipulators.

My daughter had one boy and no other children. His father was not a good dad. My daughter and I tried to make up for this by always being there for him. We have gotten him out of many messes that he should of had to deal with on his own. He now has trouble keeping a job, is hard on his cars and thinks he does not have to pay his bills. We now are trying to teach him to stand on his own but its a hard job. He should of been taught that he was loved very much but made to stand on his own two feet. He is now 22 and is showing some good signs of growing up. Hopefully we can learn to stand back some.

You can find yourself to start judging people, or thinking that no body is good enough. You can reach a point where your alone b/c no one can measure up to your high standards.

Theres a lot of problems of being overprotective, I'm assuming your talking about yourself or your children...
