Ok, so my friend is staying at my condo for the weekend, and she smokes (which is gross, but she is addicted). Um, so anyway, there is that smoke smell that comes off of all her stuff (I do not let her smoke in the condo) It's just the stuff of hers that smells like smoke, and I want to know, is it cancerous to even smell that stuff?
I mean, the smell coming off of her clothes, is that harmful to my lungs?

Most of the studies that tied second hand smoke to all kinds of health problems have since been retracted. Second hand smoke, while annoying and stinky- doesn't have much carcinogenic effect. Just think of how much smoke a smoker inhales in one puff, and then a cigarette, and then a pack of them a day.

the smell off of the clothes is just a pimple on a gnat's a$s in comparison. I wouldn't worry too much about any health issues from a few days of smelling smoke.

smelling smoke in someones clothing, does not necessarily mean u are getting second hand smoke but u will get the second hand smoke when she smokes outside the condo and come in to breath out the remaining chemicals from her lungs straight to ur lungs. it is different though from actually inhaling smoke coming from a cigarette or coming from a person's mouth in the act of smoking.

I have heard both sides causing cancer, but my wife is like that. I do not let her smoke in the house, but after she smokes I can smell it on her body, her hair, and it bothers me. It is hard for me to lie in the same bed just to watch television.
I dread when winter gets here, then she will smoke in the garage.
The only thing I can say, I wish you and her the best of luck.

Its not a sure shot thing that one will get cancer by staying with a person who smokes but yes passive smoking is very harmful to ones system and could lead to cancer.

No, It isn't. Get some Febreeze and use it. It would be possible if you were inhaling second hand smoke, but the smell will not give you cancer.

No that is not harmfull. But you must not give up helping your frined to rescue from smoking. Quran is very powerful to remove addictions. It removed the grave addiction of Arabs to alcohol. There is no parallel exmaple in the history where hundreds of thousands of people simply gave up heavy drinking and then they didn't go back

No, it is not harmful to your lungs, it stinks but that's it. You can try getting some Febreeze to try help neutralize the smell.
