i started dating this guy and when we first started talking he's told me only one girl he dated met his fam and that was on accident and that he wouldnt introduce a girl to his fam unless it was a big deal and it was serious. we have only been dating for a couple of months and he told me he wants me to meet his family. what's your opinion on the situation

Good for you! At least he wants you to actually meet his family. Some guys wouldn't even get around telling the name of the girl to his family and here he is, getting you to meet them. But if you're afraid that they might criticize you, then just take a deep breath and just go. If you don't like him then don't go. As simple as that.

You are dating this guy. If he wants to meet his. This is a good sign as he thinks your and his relations can have serious and promising future there is harm in meeting his fam.
It will be a another step to know his roots better and it will let you know many unknown aspects of personality and will help you know him better.

no big deal. be yourself and im sure you will hit it off great with them. if it doesnt work out with you and him you will be meeting someone elses family in the future and you will have had some practice. it's all part of the relationship thing.
