Masturbation in both males and females is fairly normal. It could be a sin, but most likely God won't send you to hell for that alone.

You don't say how old you are, but I think you must be fairly young. If that's the case, your body is going through some changes your psyche is just catching up with.

Don't worry. The best parts of your sex life are still ahead of you and God will forgive you for what is at worst a little bit of a weakness. If this were an unpardonable sin hell would be a very full place indeed and I would certainly be a resident when I die.

Sex is a gift from God. Masturbation, for females like you, and males like me, is one way to use that gift. Maybe not the best way, but not the worst either.

Cheer up, sweetie. You are pretty normal.

Wow, you are really beating your soul up. No, it is not a sin. The bible list ALL sins (there is 11), and it is not listed in any of them.

Given a choice of sex, which if done unprotected, has a wide variety of terrible diseases, and masturbation, which has NO disease threat, and you do it in your own home, choose masturbation every time.

Here is what to do to feel better about yourself;

Stand in your kitchen, hands on the counter top. Squat down slowly, go up slowly. Use your hands to keep your balance. Do 10 times, do once a day, more if you desire. Step back a bit, do counter top pushups on the edge of the counter. Again 10 times. Put one foot back a bit, now move forward and back toward the counter, bending your knee and stretching the calf of the leg set back, foot firmly on the floor. 10 times, then reverse feet.

This will make the chemicals in your brain go up, and you will feel better about everything. And it makes you a healthier person.

Masturbation is a normal action, almost everyone does it...I say almost because somewhere out there someone is not. Touching your own body is not a sin...it is your body and it feels good. Do not feel ashamed, your friends are all doing it to, they just don't talk about it. The Clitoris is the only part of the body strictly for pleasure, you should not fell ashamed or embarrassed by touching yourself.

i think you shouldn't beat up yourself over this. I believe God would rather have you masturbating then fornicating. You know fornicating is a sin. there is no where that i have found that mastubating is. If you are going to keep doing it stop asking God for forgiveness and don't feel ashamed it is normal. Disgusting is such a harsh word.

Oh please. Masturbation is not a sin. Sin does not exist.

Seriously, has christianity really messed with your mind so much? I hope you've never had a hamburger or worn polyester, those are sins too, abominations unto god even.

Masturbation is natural and healthy, and nothing to be ashamed of. Masturbating doesn't make you a lesbian. It makes you normal. Why would you even say you're a lesbian?

Don't be ashamed of yourself just because a book says you should.

Also, I'd like to point out this is a prime example of sexism in christianity, and the dehumanizing of the female body.

It's not a sin. God would not have made you the way He did if He thought being a sexual being was wrong. You shouldn't be ashamed of yourself. It's a natural normal thing. Thinking you did something wrong or dirty is the unnatural thing.

Nope, not a sin. Nothing in the Bible says it is. I think muslims view it as a sin, but I'm not one of them so I can't verify it.

I went through the same thing as a teen. It's a tough time with all of the hormones running crazily through your veins, and it's perfectly normal & natural to explore and self-please. Have a good time.

It's fine and natural. Don't give yourself such a hard time. Look at it this way: when you find a guy you will know how to please yourself and you will be less tempted to have sex. Love is more important than sex.
Oh, another thing. Try not to think about anyone you know when you do it. This can send energies to them and is kinda invading their space. Porn or pictures of celebrities are ok to focus on.

Masturbation is not a sin. Its completely normal. You shouldn't feel bad about it. All my female friends do it, I do it, Its OK' its better than going out and having sex with any guy every time you feel like you are in the mood. I go to church too and I don't believe that makes me a sinner.

I have had the same problem as you. It is a sin, yes, but I know from experience it's not an easy one to overcome. I feel dirty and ashamed, too.
What are your reasons for masturbating? If it's due to some trauma, like having been molested growing up, or been raped, or had abusive relationships, then maybe you want to seek counseling, or as embarrassing as it could sound, you can talk to your minister about it and see if it helps. Embarrassing it may be, but ministers can't judge us. They can help you pray, however.

Good luck. If you want, we can be support buddies for each other, as I want to kick the habit myself.
