i have a huge crush on my mechanic, but i am really shy and i have no idea how i can even begin to ask if he has a girlfriend. i get really nervous just talking to him about tires, but i really want to date him. how can i start a convo without embarrasing myself, cuz i really like him as my mechanic and i would want to keep going there. ive never asked a guy out before either. like i said im really shy and thinking about asking him is terrifying to me..i dont think i know how to flirt either....any suggestions? also, i'm 21, not some little teenager so real answers would help me out.

Ok, the next time you see this guy, strike up a conversation, and sometime in between, at the right moment of course, ask if he's dating anyone. If he wants to know why you're asking, just say because you're curious. If he isn't, ask him if he'd like to go to lunch sometime. It's normal to be nervous in this type of situation, so just play it cool and don't let him know that you're nervous. Smile, laugh and have fun while you guys are talking.
