he seems to have poisening. our other cat died when she did this a few months ago. she died in about 45 minutes after we noticed the water comming out of her mouth. our vet says this cat is sure to die also but he is still alive after about 24 hours of this,. also he is eating and drinking fine he is even fairly active, but the water is still coming out of his mouth. has any one heard of this and do you think it is just taking a long time for him to die/. he doesnt seem to be in any pain.

Did your vet do any blood work on the cat to come to the conclusion it is poison? I would consider taking the cat to another vet for a full examination and blood work-up to determine if it is in fact dying or has something else going on.
No I have never heard of this before.

My cat had the same symptoms, after a visit to the vet and $300 later it turned out my cat ingested something non poisenous, (Easter grass, plastic, paper, etc.) and was unable to pass it. The mouth watering was caused by upset stomach. the vet gave my cat a shot of something to relaxe his stomach(laxitive). he was fine after a full 24 hours. hope the best for your cat.

Take your pet to the vet. If he/she had been poisoned, and there is nothing the vet can do to help, and if the cat is suffering. You may need to consider putting the cat to sleep. And before getting another pet, ask what poisoned the other cats to make sure it does not happen to your new pet.
Good Luck

It seems he's been poisoned?! Your other cat died the same way recently?! The vet said this one is surely going to die, but doesn't know WHY??????? You're not going to have tests run or have it euthanized?? What the hell??? None of this makes any sense.

Please get your cat to a vet pronto. Our cat was doing this as well and she had a form of cancer in her mouth! The vet removed it and she is just find now. she had to have antibiotic. Bless you and your cat. Let me know if she is okay!

As someone mentioned, you need to see another vet. If there is nothing that can be done, get him put to sleep. If you just wait around to 'see' what happens I hope you get reported to the RSPCA and never be allowed to have pets again.

If it is a poison that has gotten to his liver he will succumb from it, it's just a matter of time.

What is it in your environment that is causing this to happen? You surely must identify the agent if you are going to continue to have cats.

omg.. are you just going to let your kitty die? take him to the vet and if they can't do anything for him at least maybe they can tell you why your cats are dying off.. please don't let the cat suffer more that it has to... if it's going to die.. put it to sleep, dont let it just suffer...

My friend's cat used to drool a lot when it got old, maybe it's just uncontrollable drooling.
