John 3:16 "for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whomsoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life".

Romans 5:5 "....for God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the holy spirit who has been given to us".

Romans 5:8 "for God shows and clearly proves his love for us by the fact that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us".

One of my favorites is Genesis chapt.15. After God tells Abram that he will reward him greatly, He tells him to get a calf and split it in two. In those days when two people entered into an agreement, they would split a calf in half and each party would walk between the halves. What they were promising each other was, that if either one broke the promise, they would look and be like the slaughtered-split in half calf. In the Genesis story ONLY God walks between the split calf. God never asks Abram to do that. Wow! That's love.

Romans 8:39- This shows how he protects us.
Revelations 3:19

The best one of all is the story of the prodigal son. With it Jesus tried to teach us that God loves us unconditionally and never judges or punishes us for any reason. The verse is always misrepresented and told as a story about forgiveness, but if you actually read it that's not what it says.

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:

Romans 5:5 and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Jer.31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.

Titus 3: 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;6 which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Eph.2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, Col. 2.13 (by grace ye are saved;)

Here Jesus says that God the Father loves us just like He loves Jesus.

John 17:23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

Here we are told that God loved us even though we didn't love Him.

1 John 4:9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Here it says that God chose us and predestined us to be his children in love before we were even created by Him.

Ephesians 1:4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
