Do not go to Walmart!!!!
Click here: https://thor.aafes.com/scs/default.aspx This is the website for AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Service), the group that runs the stores on military bases. Make sure you have your friend's address, since you need to ship it directly to them, but they'll get MANY more minutes than from the ATT cards Walmart sells.
Once your friend gets the phone card, get the code from the back, and anyone can recharge it--this is particularly good because phone cards do get stolen out of the mail.

You can go to Wal-Mart to purchase a calling card. Try to get the most minutes that you can afford, as the number of minutes on the card are not the same when you call from another country or to another country. Tell your friend thanks for all he does! My husband is in the military so I know how hard it can be! Keep your head up, he will be home soon! :0)

You need to get an AT&T card. Not just any AT&T card though. You need the one that you can get on post at the BX/PX. If you don't have access to that, you can shop for one online. They're by far the best value there is. They're reliable and work on all the phones over there.
Tell you friend thanks from an Army wife and hope he returns home safe!!

MCI is selling calling cards with 2 cents per minute.
Postoffice and Grocery stores also sell calling cards... you just have to check on the better price per minute !!!!
