In Texas, you are considered a minor and not able to do things like move out without your parent's permission until your 18th birthday. Of course, you can do whatevr your parents will give you permission to do if it is legal.

You do have the option of emancipation (what someone called divorcing your parents). The link below is to the Texas Family Code which will explain more for you.

I'm almost sure in the state of Texas that you can move out at 17. If your parents aren't treating you badly why would you want to though. Then you have to get a job and try to figure out how you are going to pay your bills ,and how are you going to go to school and work and make enough money for your own place

18 is the legal age to do this in most all of the states. BUT at 17 you can go to court and if you can show that you have a job where you can support yourself, and a place to live, then you can request to be emancipated. This is where the court declares that you are old enough to be on your own and grant you this request even if it is not what your parents want. But I would suggest you wait til your 18.

No, you can't. You can divorce your parents though, and legally move then. Also, it takes money to be on your own. Why not get away from them till you're 18 by throwing yourself into a job, lots of overtime, and save your cash to move. Consider a roommate, too. It's cheaper.
