I haven't noticed an increase in shaved heads, but I am in Australia. Most guys I know/or have seen that shave their heads seem to be experiencing some sort of hair loss, so they shave it all off to disguise the fact that they're going a bit bald. I don't like the shaved head look, but I hate long hair more. Most guys look droopy with long hair, in my opinion.

Look bro, the new thing that's in is long curled hair! Not curly like a girl's but the curly type on guys when the hair curls at the end and waves at the top. My hair is pin straight and I have been doing that for the past week or so, and all have been unsuccessful but I keep trying because holy crap!!! the guys with the hair I described are pretty much popular, and for some reason...it's the rich people who have curly hair, i dont know why?! Anywayz, short hair may look good on you but I think you should definitely try out long hair and perhaps even try curling it. There are guys who look good in crew cuts and bald styles but like myself, I gave it a shot but it didn't turn out so well. The problem with me is I have to get up at 4:30 in order for me to curl my hair but I am so lazy that I do it the night before and it looks amazing but when I sleep it gets all messed up. You need atleast 30-1 hr to do it, atleast for my hair which really isnt that long! Anywayz, hopr you find out what works best for your hair and like I said, just try it out.

You know what? I think as time goes by, people are more likely to just do what they want with their hair and clothes.
Of course, there will always be fads and cliques. But, in the 50's & 60's... and even in later decades... there were very limited options because anybody who sported a new style or out-of-style look was really frowned on!! Now, people pretty much accept whatever you want. And that's great! Because each person can wear what looks good on them.

Seems like they've been shaving their heads for a while now. At least young men have. I was in high school in the late '70s and we all fought for the right of guys to wear their hair long in school. The school finally let them wear it to the top of their collars. (-:
Then when my generation had teenagers the boys started shaving their heads. I heard that it was a teen rebellion thing. That our generation wore their hair long in order to not be like their parents. Then this generation wore their hair short in order to not be like their parents. That generation are parents now. I think the trend is to wear it however you want. I've seen it all different lengths now.

i agree that short hair and shaved heads has been a fad for awhile, but i also think that it depends on the person as to what looks good and what doesn't

Actually, I would rather to see men with short hair. For some reason, men with long hair look dirty to me. So if the shaved hair or short hair is in fashion for men, I am glad that fashion is working in my favor-
