My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

with Hoodia I lost 4lbs the first week! After a month, I'm down 13Lbs!
Personally I think 100% Hoodia in tablets is best!
Check with your doctor before starting any weight loss program.
The problem w/Hoodia is 90%+ are scams. The real Hoodia is expensive and only the one imported from S.Africa has been show to work.
Many people go for the low cost scam Hoodia and have no results!
**** VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF ---
#1. Be sure you are buying pure Hoodia...look for the import certificate on the website. No matter the price, if they do not display this, you really do NOT know what you are getting!
#2. Be sure it is 100% Hoodia & not mixed w/other herbs, etc.!!
#3. Keep in mind it stops your hunger pangs…you MUST remember to break your habit to always eat at certain times.
#4. Drink a full 8oz. glass of water with it!
You can read a good article about how it works at:

You lost 10 lbs and you're concerned that you gained 2 lbs back? Hun, it's normal for your weight to fluctuate anywhere from 1-7 lbs. on any given day. It depends mostly on your diet. In order to be successful in losing weight, you have to want it. You can't ask people to tell you why you should keep it up...you have to know why you want it and how you're going to achieve it. Write down why you want to lose weight, and some short term goals. Then write down a few ways (not involving food) that you can reward yourself when you reach the mini goals. If you aren't really overweight, then it's going to be hard and take a lot of discipline. You have to really focus on your diet, do cardio 4-5 times a week for 30-60 minutes a day and strength training 3-4 times a week for 30-60 minutes. No less than 1200 calories a day with plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats and fish, whole grains and low fat dairy. Also, make sure you are drinking 2-3 liters of water a day to help flush out excess sodium in your body and to help reduce water retention. Good luck! You can do it!

I understand just how you feel! It can really be frustrating sometimes. According to the research walking has the same benefits as running, so you could go for a great walk every day instead of running, unless you really like to run. If your output is more than your input you will lose weight.
Watch your foods, limit these things to once or twice a week and cut your portions in half at night: cheeses, sodas, chips, sweet treats, fried foods, fast foods. Instead eat good healthy meals, have low fat sugar free snacks when you're hungry, and make your biggest meals during the day when you burn them off and not at night.

I'm still 170 pounds!!!!!!!! I seriously know how fustrating this can be,right now I feel like pulling my hair out. grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah ,don't try cutting either,it's very dumb and overated.
trustme, I do have a really bad urge sometimes to grab a knife and to slice the pain away, but I think of the awful time I had at the mental hospitals i went to.

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. Seriously, don't even think about suicide; it won't help anything, and it will just give your whole family grief. Just exercise more, do push-ups and sit-ups (that will help you get a flatter stomach) and do ab-workouts, which are things like: lay down on your back, and lift your legs at about a 45 degree angle, and keep your arms flat on the ground. It will probably hurt because you don't normally work those muscles. Slowly move your legs up and down, and keep your arms on the ground. Do about a minute of that a day and you'll look better.

Point 1- Relax
Point 2- Low carbs make people depressed.
Point 3 -Taking up a hobby like jogging will help you mentally and physically.
Point 4-Vegetarians use a lot of oil and need bulk(think cow vs tiger) and often gain weight.
Point 5 -Talk to your family.

If you exercise regularly and eat a healthy diet, you will lose weight. It won't happen right away, but it will over time. Either way, you'll be healthier and you will feel better--I stopped going to the gym and now I'm all depressed again. I know if I go back I'll have more energy, but I'm too down to do it. Also, please don't kill yourself because it will make me sad.
Good luck!
(btw, your weight can fluctuate by like five pounds through the day.)

First of all, contrary to popular beleif, starving yourself does NOT make you lose fat. It makes you lose muscle which is important to have.
Second of all, the more you think about weight, the more it stresses you out, and the more you gain weight.
So basically, healthy weight loss is dependant on comfort and attitude.
Running is a REALLY good idea, because it is a stress releiver and does help with weight loss, but dont fret over it. Its better to MAINTAIN your weight than to Yo-yo all over the place ;)
Please dont obsess.
Good Luck
