People who are bashing Spanish are resentful of all the Mexican immigrants coming in, and they are coming in droves! However, I like the Mexicans and I love the Spanish language. I don't mind if it becomes our second language. What is there to be afraid of? Spanish is a very spiritual language as well as a romantic one.

I am Mexican and I dont live in any english speaking country I still living in my country.. I think the spanish is a good language and difficult.. I dont know why the people from USA hates the spanish? maybe cuz the inmigrants.. but I think if I am not wrong in USA there is not a official language.. even the mayority speak english.. many americans are inmigrants and they speak as first language like spanish, french or russian ect.. but their second language in their lives is english..I think the americans who only speaks english maybe they dont see very well to see how the spanish language is influenced their culture and not many inmigrants speak english.. even I must confess if they are living in an english speaking country they should learn english as well the latinos who only speaks english they should learn spanish cuz their culture..even sometimes it's annoying for me to see how the english speakers visit mexico or another countries they dont speak any word from the language of such country.. at least to say hello..anyway I am learning english, and french too and I feel proud of my culture.. the spanish is a romance language cuz it came from latin..

People in America don't like it because it is not the native language, but if you go to the countries that it is spoken. it is beautiful to listen to. Also If Americans go to somewhere were they don't speak English the people their think the same. But The Spanish language has been around for so many centuries. and people in America just don't appreciate it for what it is. A great language.

That's odd. I am taking Spanish 1 and most of my classmates said they would rather have grown up Speaking Spanish. In my opinion, it's easier to learn. Good question-why are people bashing the spanish language?

I don't think anyone hates the language - but people do get fed up with Spanish-speakers who come to our country and refuse to learn English.

It depends on who is speaking it. Generally, Mexicans and Puerte Ricans sound dirty. Argentinans, on the other hand, sound pure.
