San Bernardino like most cities has its good areas and bad areas, it would be best to look around the surrounding communites as the Inland Empire is one of the fastest growing areas in southern California

I honestly don't like San Bernardino. It's a bad area. However, better places in San Bernardino County would be Rancho Cucamonga, North Fontana (new houses), Alta Loma, Upland. RCC is a really good college, I highly recommend it.

I would say not to live in San Bernardino...I would look at moving to Alta Loma (Rancho Cucamonga) and driving to San Bernardino. Its only 13 miles from Rancho Cucamonga. Plus Rancho Cucamonga has alot of new jobs out this way and is growing in leaps and bounds.

San Bernardino is a dump. Its ridiculously hot in the summer (95-110 F most days), its ghetto, has high crime and it is ugly. If you want to come to S. Cal, go to OC, San Diego Cty, LA Cty, Ventura Cty or Santa Barbara County. Do not relocate to any of the inland areas if you can help it.

both are affordable, and both have some nice neighboorhoods as well as some not so nice neighborhoods. I know where the Riverside Campus is located and it is in a decent area. I work only a mile away.

It's a toss up. Both areas have good and bad areas. It's very hot out there in the summer time and can be smoggy.
