This is so easy and tastes like you took a really long time to make it:

recipe for cream cheese cookies:

1 stick of butter
1 bag of butter-moist yellow cake mix
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 pkg cream cheese
1 egg

Mix ingredients together, refrigerate until firm. Roll onto powdered sugar. Bake as usual (which I'm assuming is 350 degrees).

SNOWMEN PARTY STEW:
Prepared stew (below)
2 c firm mashed potatoes

Place stew in pie pan. Make 1 large and 1 small ball out of mashed potatoes and make snowmen. Place 8 on top of stew in a circle. Use peas for buttons, peppercorns for eyes, carrot strip for nose, and ketchup for scarf. Bake 20 min at 350. (without carrot)
STEW:
1 lb lean beef chuck, cut into cubes
2 TBS flour
2 tsp veggie oil
2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced (@3c)
2 c sliced mushrooms
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp tomato paste
2 c beef broth
4 c sliced carrots
2 medium russet potatoes, thinly sliced (@2c)
1 c 1-in green bean pieces
1 TBS cornstarch
1 TBS cold water
1/4 c chopped fresh parsley

Coat beef with flour, shaking off excess. In a large nonstick pot, heat oil over medium high heat. Add beef and saute until brown, about 6 min. Place on a plate. Add onions and mushrooms to pot; saute for 6 min. Add garlic and saute for 1 min. Pour off fat. Return beef to pot, stir in tomato paste, then broth. Add enough water to just cover; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, simmer until beef is tender, about 1 1/4 hours. Skim off any foam. Add carrots, potatoes, and green beans. Cover partially; sommer for 15 min. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water, stir into stew. Increase heat and boil uncovered for 1 min. Sprinkle with parsley, decorate with snowmen potatoes, and serve. Season with salt and pepper if desired

EDIBLE TREE ORNAMENTS
2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 c flour

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla; beat 1-2 min until light and fluffy. Gradually add the flour and beat for 2 min or until well blended. Form the dough into a ball; cover and chill for at least 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 350. Divide the dough into 2 balls and return 1 ball to the refrigerator. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to 1/4 in thickness. Cut out cookies with cookie cutters and place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining dough and bake for 10 -12 min. or until golden around edges. Cool on wire rack.

*Before baking use a strw to cut out holes at top of each cookie for hanging.
If using sprinkles, decorate before baking.
If using glaze, bake then let cool and decorate.
*Glaze - 2 c confectioners sugar, 2 TBS milk, and red/green food
