I wouldn't know. I can tell you that Fort Jackson, South Carolina, sucked a big fat juicy one. It was hot, sandy, humid. Pure hell. I did my basic August-October 1992.
I have yet to meet anyone that served in Jackson as permanent party, but pretty much every single one of us hated that damn place. Fort Gordon (AIT, not basic), GA on the other hand feels as much as home as my university. The only thing I won't miss about Gordon is the running track, mix of sand and clay that destroys your knees and ankles.
My friends that did basic at Ft. Leonard Wood used to say "it aint't hell, but sure as hell you can see it from here."

Fort Jackson is the easiest by far. Most soft skill jobs go there and they get the majority of women. Depending on what your job is you may only have one option for basic. Don't worry though, its only a few weeks and they all technically suck.

I just graduated from basic training Jan 05, it is pretty lax there.. a few buddies of mine have had it worse off at other basic training sites.

Fort Benning is supposed to be the "best", but Fort Jackson is supposed to be the easiest if that's what you mean. But this is just what I have heard.

You don't get to choose where you wanna go. They choose for you. You should really write these questions down and ask your recruiter.

It doesn't matter, the training is the same where ever you go.
