I have a 15 mth old and I think that he is getting a stye on his eye, what can I do about it?

My mother always used a potato poltis ? Grind up some potato into a mush like. Do NOT wash it.. You want it to be good and starchy. Put it in a clean cloth and apply it to his eye letting the fluid wash into the area affected.

I know this will be hard with a young one but it works. I have used this many times over the years..

Try to get a very warm washcloth on it at night. That's the only thing to help and keep it from getting bigger. With heat, eventually it will shrink and go away.

Warm washcloth will help, but it is best to get him into seeing a doctor; while some of us can be helpful, it is best to seek medical attention for an infant.
